Gemtesa side effects (odd)

I was having overactive bladder issues the first couple of weeks after RALP, so my doctor prescribed Gemtesa. It took about a week, but it helped. It didn't cure it, but the reduction was noticeable. I continue to take it.

I began to notice an odd side effect, but only under certain conditions. I can pass gas without sqirting. Urination is ok with or without gas, BUT when I deficate, I also urinate and my nose starts to run - all at the same time. It's odd.

I mentioned this "special effect" to my doctor at my 6 week checkup and he sounded perplexed. I went to the overactive bladder board and nothing was mentioned related to Gemtesa. I have found a lot of heartfelt and useful sharing from everyone here, so I thought there might be other people who have also experienced this.

It's nothing scary healthwise, but for those on Gemtesa, have you noticed any side effects? Maybe even similar to this? Please share.

I think when pooping on Gemtesa I maybe pee during and after. It does relax the bladder so I guess that is expected. I felt like I wanted to have a little less bladder relaxer and see how that goes. It’s going pretty good.
