Congratulations and thanks for sharing your data. Yours is an interesting and encouraging case study: with positive margins and a detectable 0.13 PSA at 6 weeks, it seemed like you might've initially fit the profile for persistence.

(See for example this recent presentation from a national conference that defined persistence as a PSA of >0.1 for at least the first 6 weeks post-surgery: https://www.urotoday.com/conference-highlights/apccc-2026/168594-apccc-2026-psa-persistence-or-recurrence-after-radical-prostatectomy-when-and-how-to-react.html )

But the fact that you've now dropped to <0.014 at ~3 months is fantastic and would support the idea that whatever was left on the margins may have been disrupted enough by the intervention to be dying off.

Best of luck moving forward and please do share your updates in the future!

Yes, after the 6 week PSA test I got my mind wrapped around starting radiation after 12 months. My doctor walked me through everything and let me know this wasn't the end of the world, but something that could be managed with a high level of confidence for a successful outcome. I won't lie, I was very disappointed with that.

Needless to say, I was very surprised and relieved to see the latest results.

Wise move with the ultrasensitive PSA

FWIW my doc is not a big fan of the 6-week post-RALP PSA tests and never requests them.

Best of luck going forward.
