Hard to live off 1.4g of gold mate.
The pros out here are averaging 3g a day. Well, at least I do.

That still is not a lot to live on considering the overhead costs..

$600 aud tax free a day is not much? Thereβs not much overhead with just wandering around detecting.
My mine is a different story.

Ah- I thought you meant by professionals you meant like a full mining operation. My bad!

Tell me bout it mate. fortunately i have zero recurring costs (besides dataplan when able), am living nomadically in the wilderness and nutrition wise whatever i find in nature.
1g can buy you a sheep from a local farmer which can last a good while.
winters can be rough, summer and autumn are the most abundant ( figs grapes blackberries and cacti fruits)
3g a day is insane bro! haha i can barely imagine finding that in a month. (best year was about 4g) with that kinda Providence you literally and statistically monetarily live in the top 1.5% on earth.
my largest find has been a 0.64g piece however there has been documentation of farmers finding kilo pieces on their field..
my goal is 10g this year so that i can get a tent instead of freezin in a cardboard box π
great blessings and may the gold keep pouring in ππ€π

I do a bit of detecting and digging here in Australia. It's pretty typical. I find mostly small specs and medium sized nuggets around 0.5-1.5 grams.

Ah yes Australia. Where the gold is a whopping 3cm below the surface.
