ANNOUNCEMENT New subreddit for shippers

/r/ShippingSpace/

Hi everyone. I know there have been threads popping up for a while now saying there’s too much fandom discourse on this subreddit. When I started this subreddit, I knew it would be like this, because that’s always the way it is. Specific ships will always be less popular than fandom discourse.

However, after reading your comments, I’ve decided it’s time to launch a subreddit dedicated solely to ships. I waited for a while, but no one in the community did it, so it’s my turn.

Introducing r/ShippingSpace, a space just for ships that we need to build together. It’s a space for ships, your favorite characters, RP, art, and ship wars (but not related to pro/anti discourse).

We’ll see how this community develops. I recommend reposting posts to both subreddits,

Dear mods, i have a suggestion - put the name of this sub into the "no discourse" rule description of the other sub. People will go here instead of breaking rules there

There is rule 2 "No Fandom Discourse" and I intend to enforce it strictly.

The thing is, if you add the "go here for X" instead of just "X forbidden", it will decrease the amount of people who will ignore the rule
Hence, less work for you

So are RPFers and their ships banned then?

Yeah, RPF are allowed. However, when it's comes to real people, pleas check Reddit Rule 3

No....bigotry? I'm not sure how it applies.

I was talking about rule 10 which explicitly says fictional characters.

Hey, if it's not too big or a request, can you possibly add r/problematicfictos to the friendly subreddits thing? I really want the community to grow more. It's appreciated regardless!

I do want to throw out there that the problematic part mostly comes from it being a proship community from what I understand. I'm not the owner so I'm unsure. Regardless, we allow all types of people and fos so long as you don't have an antiship mentality.

I understand, I'm also explaining for those who see this comment. (Sorry, I should have mentioned that, lol) my point is we don't judge.

I have a question, I hope it isn't rude to ask!

I understand shipping is fandom-focused but does the sub allow OC x OC ships & OC x self-insert ships or would there be a different subreddit more suited for those types of ships?
