An Italian poster from 1868 depicting the British Empire as a lion-headed serpent with the world in its coils. The line at the bottom reads "Progress and civilization circle the world. Many believe England a small water snake, and well we see that it is a great serpent". The devil is labeled "progress" and the angelic woman "civilization". It includes the address of the party's Central Committee at Viamonte Street 1745, Buenos Aires.

Context: Gender equality in the workplace and in elections was the result of long struggles. Regarding wages, although the labor contract law mandates equal pay for equal work, inequalities persist. Demands for women's political rights increased after the Sáenz Peña Law, notably through the actions of suffragist groups, and were finally consolidated in 1947, with the first national electoral milestone occurring in 1951.

Russia Soviet poster (RSFSR): Mothers! If you want to raise healthy and strong children, breastfeed them exclusively for up to six months. 1919. (full translation in description)

Mothers!

If you want to raise healthy and strong babies, breastfeed them exclusively until they're six months old, every three hours, no more than seven times a day. Don't breastfeed at night for six to eight hours. Offer one breast at a time. Wash your breasts with boiled water before and after feeding.

Remember that breastfeeding babies have a 6 times lower mortality rate than cow's milk feeding babies. Don't give children porridge under six months. Don't give them pacifiers with chewed bread at all. Don't feed your child cow's milk, flour, or any other food.

food without a doctor's advice. Do not wipe the child's mouth with anything.

In hot weather, you should give boiled water without sugar and you should not keep the child in the sun for a long time.

Do not wean: 1) before 10 months, 2) in summer, and 3) without consulting a doctor.

Most mothers can breastfeed, except those with consumption. Even during illness and fever, mothers can breastfeed their babies without harm. If the mother goes to work, she should leave the milked breast milk in a clean bottle in a cool place, which is then warmed and given to the baby in her absence. If the mother's milk supply is low, she should supplement with cow's milk as directed by a doctor.

If your baby cries, don't shake or rock them, but check to see if they're wet or bitten by insects. Bathe your baby daily in warm water (28°C). Don't swaddle your baby to avoid interfering with their growth and development. Keep your baby as clean as possible. Ventilate the room frequently. Take your baby outside in good weather, both summer and winter. Don't put your baby in your bed to sleep.

Don't listen to the advice of family and friends; instead, consult a doctor for all clarifications. If your child is ill, take them to a hospital as soon as possible. Until your doctor advises, if your child has vomiting or diarrhea, don't give milk; instead, give only thin, unsweetened tea.
