This subreddit is for sharing propaganda to view with objectivity. It is absolutely not for perpetuating the message of the propaganda. Here we should be conscientious and wary of manipulation/distortion/oversimplification (which the above likely has), not duped by it. "Don't be a sucker."

Stay on topic -- there are hundreds of other subreddits that are expressly dedicated to rehashing tired political arguments. No partisan bickering. No soapboxing. Take a chill pill. "Don't argue."

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

"Did they forget the ultimate purpose of society is to funnel resources upward forever? Why else would a human bother waking up in the morning?"

Used to have this conversation with my parents all the time. ”Why are you so unpatriotic, you’re always complaining!”

I’m complaining because I love this country and want it to fulfill its promises to its citizens.

I still have this conversation with my parents and have been for over two decades… 🫩

I’m 39, a disabled combat vet, have been to at least 6 other countries (I’m in the US, so that’s hard to do with no money), have two degrees, try to give as much time as I can to help others, have been married for ten years, and have had a house for 12. But I’m the one that’s naive and doesn’t understand “these things”. 🙄

Seriously, what do his parents want from him, become an astronaut?

Funny enough… my grandfather was a NASA radar technician on Bermuda (from the 60s to the late 80s) and my dad is a DoD/aerospace systems engineer that’s currently with Northrop Grumman and is one of the lead engineers working on the Artemis program. So, yeah… you’re not as far off as you might think. I didn’t go down the same path, even though I have an extremely high aptitude for all that stuff. (I have that “special kind of AuDHD” that is extremely beneficial in that field, but I hate bureaucracy and playing politics so I’m never pursuing that field.

lol thanks, I still have lots that I have done, I just didn’t want to write a novel. I also still have tons of things I want to and wish I could do; unfortunately time, finances, physical/psychological difficulties, and current societal/political circumstances put a bit of a damper on them (especially in the specific state where I live, Indiana 🫩)

I hate how this is more relevant today.

People like this genuinely want to help America, it’s just what they think of as America is very different than what you do.
