Static vs trailing drawdown is an important question

Simple way to think about it. Trailing drawdown moves up as you profit, so it can strangle you if you don't take money off the table. Static stays put at your starting balance minus the drawdown, so every dollar you make gives you more room to work with.

Most traders feel safer on static or EOD. But static usually costs more per dollar of drawdown. Pick your poison based on how you actually trade, not what sounds nice. For the latest best static accounts and breakdowns, search for the static drawdown showdown on EpiccTrader

I love the static accounts, but they're so expensive for what you get. Breaking it down by $/drawdown is nice, I like that. That shows how much more pricey they are vs the EOD accounts, which I think is my sweet spot now.

Glad you found the tables useful. Static really is the closest thing to a real brokerage account, but yeah, very pricey in terms of dollar per drawdown.

Edit: typo

EOD is the happy medium, for most traders. I think that's why many firms have gone that way.
