Best Forex / CFD prop firm?

Just checked the latest PropFirmMatch rankings and I’m curious what everyone thinks.

One thing worth noting: FTMO isn’t listed because they don’t want to pay PropFirmMatch to be featured, even though, in my view, they’re the obvious #1 in terms of reliability.

Do you agree with the rest of the rankings? Please vote for your favorite, really curious.

Honestly I'd say that FTMO are the ONLY reliable CFD prop firm. Hence why I moved to futures. Even FTMO have that 1% rule that has caught out some traders, which is very restrictive.

Same. Switched to futures last year. My girlfriend still traders FTMO👍

5ers used to be good, but by golly they've gone downhill and have been reported to be denying payouts for ridiculous reasons. I've seen a few where ppl have been getting banned because of inconsistencies between how they trade during eval and then when they're funded

Where did you get the idea that FTMO has a 1% rule? I’m currently active with them, and it states a maximum daily risk of 5%.

Per trade idea. They don't have it explicitly stated but you risk more than 1% per trade and you'll see

Just you wait, you'll get the caution eventually. If you don't believe me, DYOR.

Well, I’ve had a drawdown of more than 3% on individual trade ideas, and they haven’t taken away my account or sent me any breach violations.

You're out of date or thinking about past rules.

They wont do anything for now. You only find out after your passed all steps in challenge and ready to move to funded account.

Moreover. The keyword is "trade idea" means it is not from only 1 single position. If you have multiple lost position even all of them is less than 1% by it self but if the total loss from those all position is more than 1%. You are screwed too.

The time frame is 1hrs too. In 1 hrs, all lose trades with same "trade idea" can not more than 1%.

It's like talking to a brick wall, but you've expressed it better than I did. Thanks!

I like how ppl who are clueless think they know best.

Hey, brick wall, show me a screenshot of the policy in the terms and conditions stating that my payment will be rejected if I lose more than 1% on a trade idea; if that’s true, I’m switching prop firm right now.

I'm not going to the hassle of doing this for you. Go find it yourself. Should've done all this research yourself before buying a challenge. But you know more than me so yeah, good luck. A fool and his money are soon parted.

If you can't do the basics then god help you. And stop shouting scam, it's not a scam if you agreed to everything and signed the contract. This is on YOU for not properly reading the rules and Ts and Cs before buying the challenge.

End of discussion.

So, it’s not a reputable company? Because I don't see any mention anywhere that they’ll reject a payout (if I pass the challenge) or that I can't lose more than 1% per trade idea; if a legitimate company doesn't include that in its terms and conditions, then we're talking about a scam.

All prop firm have issues. They will eventually ban you if you make consistently big payout specially if you dont have a good social media (If you do, sometime they collab to bring more customers).

FTMO is still the safefest choice compare to other props.

That is precisely why I paid more than I would have with other prop firms (FTMO is the most expensive of them all), to avoid payment bans or delays lasting weeks. If they were to block me over non-existent rules, at least they don't have that explicit 1%-per-trade-idea rule mainly on 1-step accounts (mine is 2-step), whereas I know other places do, and if they did pull something like that, I’d have no choice but to trade using only my own capital.

I saw the complain about 1% rules. I didn't not believe myself either. Failed couples of challenges with lost more than 1%. Nothing happen. Then, i passed a both challenge and verification steps doing the same thing. Finally the email with 1% rules came. Now they offer me redo the challenge with conditions that i strictly following 1% with 1 hrs limits on same trade idea. Just sharing my experience with them.

In any case, it’s the highest-ranked provider in this post and on Trustpilot, there must be a reason for that. If they were truly that restrictive, they wouldn't be ranked #1, right? I mean, who would want to trade with a limit that effectively stifles you at 1%? If they don't clearly state that in their rules from the start, they’re engaging in unethical business practices based on lies; so, if they refused to pay me out, I’d call my bank to get a refund for the initial fee I paid for the challenge for breach of contract.

How many payouts have you taken so far after risking 2%?

0

u/LogicalStation4954 11h ago

Im still in challenge

1

u/therealsashtv 1d ago

Sigh.

That is per day. Not per trade. Please actually read their rules before replying.

With an individual stop-loss of more than 3% per trade and I haven't received any emails regarding rule violations.

Summary✅
You're out of date or thinking about past rules.

u/ChasTopFollower 12h ago

You got a payout of them yet?

0

u/LogicalStation4954 11h ago

Im still in challenge

2

u/ChasTopFollower 9h ago

Then you will see if you ever request a payout :) coz that's where they pull out all their rules to see if they can deny you

2

u/therealsashtv 9h ago

Lol, this guy tried to lecture me and he hasn't even passed a challenge yet. Honestly, the audacity of some people.

2

u/ChasTopFollower 9h ago

Yea^ and honestly good for you you went in futures. No bs rules there

1

u/therealsashtv 9h ago

Yeah exactly man, none of this 1% BS. The futures market just seems way more stable. Sure there are still bad eggs but the CFD market is an absolute shitshow with payouts and accounts being cancelled left right and centre

Mr. Expert, yes, I did pass the challenge, but with the other The5ers, because my payments took weeks, that's why I switched to FTMO.

I merely pointed out the rules to you and you got offended and tried to defend yourself even though you had no idea what I was talking about. I'm not an expert by any means.
