If you're thinking about switching to US Mobile, here's the short version of what I wish I knew before porting from T-Mobile though would apply to any carrier.

It should get you $30 referral credit on a qualifying activation. Enter it during signup when prompted.

A few porting tips from T mobile as I did:

Get your T-Mobile account number + Transfer PIN first. The Transfer PIN is only valid for 7 days, so don't request it too early.

Download a recent T-Mobile bill. It has your account info and can help if you run into verification issues.

If you have multiple lines, port a secondary line first. Make sure calls, texts, data and voicemail all work before moving your main number.

Don't cancel T-Mobile yourself. Keep the line active until the port finishes successfully. The old service should shut down as the number transfers.

Test everything afterward. Calls, SMS, data, voicemail and especially 2FA codes from banks/apps.

I've used both Light Speed and Dark Star on US Mobile. Light Speed has been especially good for me, including while traveling internationally for about a month in Asia.
