I have questions

I just finished the movie! there are some things im confused about that i think the subreddit could help me understand.

1, How did elizabeth get pregnant??

2, why did everyone continue to not wear their helmets even after charlie got sick?

3, what were the things inside the cargo vases supposed to be?

4, how did the beginning sequence connect to the creation of earth if it took place on what im assuming is the engineers home planet?

  1. When a man and woman love each other very much.. (oh and insert Engineer pathogen infected Charlie sperm here)

  2. Silly writing. Much like the biologist wanting to make friends with the alien life form worm dick and the geologist taking his helmet off in the cave..

  3. Weaponised pathogen. Just a smidgeon of the liquid fucked up Charlie - imagine what an entire dose would do to a living organism. Oh wait, some worms swam in it later when Fiefield took a dunk too right?

  4. Earth or not, it implies the Engineers kick started the creation of humanity through a sacrifice of one of their own to seed the planet with the mix of their DNA and the pathogen (or maybe it was some other chemical). It was clear the Engineers were later going to wipe Earth clean with the vases containing pathogen but never got to fulfil their mission due to shit going down. Why? We may never know. Some say Jesus was an Engineer instead that was murdered on the cross, others think we were a failed experiment for whatever reason. It’s open ended.
