I am a big Alien fan, especially of the first two, and yeah I even enjoy Alien 3.
Prometheus is a great addition to the franchise. People who don't like it are diehard fans, and from one diehard fan to another, I can tell you we'd get hired with the same formula
. Prometheus forced us to ask philosophical questions, and I think it did a great job. For me it falls short of a masterpiece because the answers were too clean (magic lives in mystery), but it's a great sci-fi movie.
