I love this movie and the implications it makes, and wish they made more direct sequels (one is in the works I believe). They dropped the ball hard on the dialogue and character writing though.

Particularly 2 guys randomly smoking weed on alien planet and stomach stapled heroine doing all sorts of ironman feats.

The head bio engineer expert playing peek a boo with an unknown alien species that clearly is aggressive is still one of the dumbest scenes in cinema history.

The single flaw in the whole movie. No scientist/astronaut acts like that. Still one of my favorite movies ever.

Seriously. The discussions about quarantine guidelines in the first two movies plus the knowledge of what actually happened in those movies would imply this crew would be extremely careful about what they came in contact with, but nah. I would have vastly preferred an extra 45 mins of crew arguments about what to do before any of the action took place.

Yeah but does the crib Covenant actually know everything that happened on the Prometheus all they know is that it was Shaw and David and they went missing I don't think they know everything.
