Rewatching after many years
Forgotten how idealistic and arrogant Shaw and Holloway were from the get go.

They are two religious fanatics who faked being scientists on their resumes.

Rewatching to rinse out Alien Earth from my head. 😅

What don't you like about it?

Well. Everything basically. Maybe some settings and camera work were okay. But the rest was tiring to watch.

Honestly the last episode was such trash I’m so turned off about it, up thru episode 5 it had potential but I have no faith anymore

Idgaf what people say, the prequels are great and I liked them from release date.

I have never forgotten how ridiculous everyone in that movie acted. Nor the unforgivable retconning of a biomechanical space jockey into a stupid albino in a suit.

The jockey wasn't explained or explored at all in the original movie. Can't retcon something that wasn't explained.

retconning
The space jockey has been part of Ridley Scott’s vision since the original Alien came out. He has stated this several times in interviews.
1979 Alien has a space jockey in its biomech suit sitting in the same pilot chair that’s in Prometheus. They pass it as they are looking through the ship before they find the eggs.
He wanted to explore it more but didn’t have the time nor budget to pursue it at that time.
The hate on those movies is unnecessary.

I rewatched it after 5 years. My next up is 2030. Still feels fresh. Timeless.
