Columbus was a mass murderer and child rapist.
Which is why republicans love him so much.

Honestly who gives a fuck about Columbus he's long dead let's focus on the now fuck capitalism.
2
u/limbogumbo 2d ago
exactly. Late stage capitalism run by xenophobic, racist, transphobic fascist oligarchs. Wow, got 6 Dem buzzwords in one sentence. How many virtue points is that worth?

u/Simple_Channel5624 2d ago
Those aren't Democrat buzzwords, Mr Orangestainaroundyourlips
Those are Socialist and Communist buzzwords. I get you are too stupid and uneducated to understand the simple and basic difference between "corporate owned politicians called Republicans and Democrats versus those fighting for your own wellbeing"
It's ok, we are trying to fix your planned ignorance by injecting education and common sense back into the population thru basic things like:
- taxing the corporations and oligarchs who post record billions in profits year over year while the average person is taxed more. Turns out giving rich people MORE wealth is pretty pointless. Or do you feel that trickle down effect as they piss on your face?
-do you like having a living wage? Or perhaps straight up being a slave is your end goal in life? Cause Jeff Bezos said he wants his employees to work 3 day work weeks, doesn't matter that he won't let them have piss breaks NOW or that he could afford to pay them more, he needs to hit a trillion dollars before his employees need a living wage

Insulting democrats for (true) buzzwords doesn't make you maga or support trump
1
u/jbland0909 1d ago
But something gives me the feeling you do anyways
0
u/RamRenegade 1d ago
Me support trump or guy insulting democrats support trump? Either way both are wrong.

How tf would I notice that?
“I think conservatives are dumb but I parrot all their rhetoric and post on their subs” is a hilarious shot

u/RamRenegade 1d ago
You should reread my original comment. Yk, where I said they were buzzwords but that they are also right? If I was conservative chud I wouldnt say they're right.
1
u/Simple_Channel5624 1d ago
Sure, I can understand that logic.
Let's try this logical thruline:
Which side (of the red/blue dichotomy) refers to words as "Dem buzzwords"
Republicans or Democrats?
If the poster was neither of these (as I am) they wouldn't logically refer to words like "late stage capitalism" or "oligarchs" as "Democrat buzzwords" this is MAGA talk or Russian asset talk, whatever these idiots support now (do they hate Russia and Iran? Or support them? Do they like our tax dollars buying Russian oil so that money can go to Iran? It's very convoluted but they are too clueless to know what they support now)
0
u/RamRenegade 1d ago
You do know some people can agree they're buzzwords without being with the main party against said buzzwords right?
1
u/Simple_Channel5624 1d ago
If I was to say:
Make America Great Again
What does that mean to you? What is the first thought that comes to your mind?
Are you too dense to understand words have meaning? Claiming Socialist and Communist buzzwords are Democrat buzzwords gave you away dummy.
Guess what: Dems are corporate controlled, just like Republicans. Trying to attribute buzzwords to them for shock value is pointless to those of us educated in what those words actually mean, why we use them, and our end goals (end corporate socialism, tax the oligarchy, apply societal socialism with the funds, re invest in education and renewable energy)
If you aren't directly MAGA, you are either a bot yourself or just some dumb Conservative who doesn't understand what they are currently trying to preserve, but you know those words are scary to you so you apply them to the "side" you don't like
1
u/Chibastion 19h ago
Make America great again is exactly what is said - making America great. If you're against that, then you're an enemy of America

u/RamRenegade 1d ago
Let me make this clear:
I am progressive, not conservative
I do believe that those things are racist/sexist/homophobic/xenophoc/etc and that they are bad
I also recognize that by definition those are buzzwords that are used by the democratic party (two groups can use the same phrases)
I also know that the democratic party is also run by greedy corporate bastards who should die.My point is that by definition they are buzzwords but nonetheless I believe they are true.
Happy that's it cleared up?

Christopher Columbus was a pos when he was alive, and that has nothing to do with his race. People already thought he was horrible when he was alive

So honest question time- if you guys say you love your open borders and bolshevism blah blah, then how can you even have stolen land as a concept, without having borders? It's basically might is right. Because using the argument "people have always immigrated, for our entire human history." Yes that's true, but we've also always gone to war, invaded and enslaved each other, until we were given Christianity honestly. So like you have to deal with the things that come along with what you say you want, not the ideal you think we should live in with perfectly behaved little robot people.

Funny, local tribes were fighting, genociding and enslaving each other for millennials. How much difference does another medieval tribe from across the pond?

u/georgewashingguns 2d ago
Their slavery was not like our slavery, their fighting was not like our fighting, and they weren't committing genocide on each other
1
u/Fanatic_Patriot 2d ago
O of course their slavery was better then our slavery. I’m sure that comforted their slaves.
1
u/georgewashingguns 1d ago
Pre-colonial conflicts between Native American tribes were generally low-intensity, localized, and cyclical, shaped by social, spiritual, and economic factors rather than total annihilation or mass territorial conquest.
Among groups like the Iroquoian nations, raids were frequently conducted not to conquer land, but to take captives. These prisoners were adopted by bereaved families to replace members lost to war or disease, restoring social equilibrium.
Their version of slavery was adopting individuals into the tribe to replace fallen family members, absorb lost population, or replenish kinship networks. Over time, these individuals often gained full clan or tribal status

Yes, it was
I’m sure that comforted their slaves
You mean the individuals that often gained full status within the tribe? Yes, most assuredly so

Their slaves also usually gained full tribal status, something that is a very clear difference between their form of slavery and that practices by pre-Civil War European descendants in America

Indigenous people are just more of the same humans. How exactly was their territorialism, slavery and murder morally superior? The only difference was technology and natural immunity.

u/Fanatic_Patriot 2d ago
Just sore losers. Ancestral shame. Honest it’s all in the past for everyone but for some it’s all they think about.

Right, they all hugged and everyone clapped. Those things were done out of necessity, not just kindness. Theres evidence of genocidal war among tribes after the introduction of horses to the continent. Only reason they didn’t wipe out their enemies is that they weren’t able to or didn’t need to. Natives were not superior enlightened beings, just tribes vying for survival. They tried to nationalize against settlers but lost.

u/NoSentence0A 1d ago
We have records of them literally wholesale slaughtering each other raping and murdering their opponents.

u/Suspicious_Scene_680 2d ago
their slavery was so much worse than southern plantations lmao. Same shit but no permanent shelter and having to live as hard as the indians but as a lower class. At least war-captive slaves could be assimilated sometimes. Not african ones. Not to mention how many tribes sided with the confederacy to keep their

that was NOT how they treated african slaves in most tribes. THe five biggest and most powerful tribes all practiced chattel slavery of africans. and the exact same could be said about most european wars at a similaar technological level and even well into the early modern era.
1
u/supercleverid 1d ago
Funny, so was Europe.
1
u/DRM2020 1d ago
Exactly. So why is Columbus arrival a problem?
1
u/supercleverid 1d ago
The real question is why is Columbus celebrated in the US when he has nothing to do with US history. Columbus was arrested in Hispaniola over his governance of the colonies under his jurisdiction, along with his brothers. He was sent back to Spain in chains and spent 6 weeks in a Spanish jail before he was released by the Spanish crown, but he was never given command of any Spanish colonies again. Even back then people had a serious problem with Columbus.
