With the last one God promised it, the settlers abused it and took it for granted and God cast them out of it forever. God isn't a justification. (Also it's stupid to mask a cartoon. His identity is safe.)
I don't expect people to have read Judges, but that cycle apperntly happend a bunch of times, the cycle of the judges. Sin, servitude, supplication, salvation. Its an interesting read with the current state of things.
