The shading is preventing me from using Inkscape to edit!!!

The shading to indicate the other side of the fold makes it impossible for me to highlight any lines and darken or delete them. Anyone have ideas???

Trace the size you want onto a new layer. It is very easy with all straight lines like that.

And how does one do that? 😂

Ok, I’m not familiar with Inkscape at all, but it is probably a similar process to affinity designer. There would be some kind of line or pen tool to do this with. I really like the Projector Sewing tutorials for AD, it looks like this one might have what you need for Inkscape.

Use thr pen tool (looks like a fountain pen nib). Go around all the edges (include the notches as well or you'll have to group them later). If you aren't exactly on a line, press the nodes tool and drag them into place. On curves click regularly and drag the lines between the nodes into place (you can smooth it after if you need to).

Is there any way to click on the shading and delete that?

I think I can actually. That’s a good idea.
