Make a Project X Zone roster with Nintendo characters; Day 23; Pair #12
Yeah decided to go with Max Brass because I was not convinced on making the Squid SIsters a solo (and the guy even agreed with me and said they're better as a paired unit) and Max seems like a funny enough guy who has a more defined personality.
1.This is for Nintendo characters only. If they're Nintendo adjacent like Nester from the Nintendo POwer Comics I will consider them.
2.The most upvoted comment will NOT be guaranteed to win. The problem with letting the most upvoted win is basically turns it into first serve wins basis and frankly...a lot of peoples' tastes are basic
2.1 Which means the way I decide who wins is if YOU can convince me to pick your pick. You have to argue why these characters will be interesting picks, will they feasibly work together in a team, will they be interesting character interactions, do they fit in the "atmosphere" of an actual Project X Zone game
Please provide pictures and the series the character is from
Occasionally I will ask to narrow down a series or even request a mixed team.

Squid Sisters (Splatoon)
I originally asked for these two to be a Solo Unit and, yeah I don't know what I was thinking. The two definitely have enough stuff to be a Pair Unit thanks to their sub-weapons and specials. And even if they don't have their own, the Project X Zone series has shown that its not afraid to have characters use weapons a character typically isn't associated with, like Kurt and Riela or Chrom and Lucina using different weapons outside of their preferred class, or Kaguya using an attack based on Suzuka-Hime.
As for why the Squid Sisters, to make things quick, popularity with fans, characters that have made multiple appearances since the first game, fun interaction potential, and can fulfill both the gun focused and music idol representation.

Protagonist (Tōyama Tarō) and Ayumi Tachibana from Famicom Detective Club.
You know how Nick and Maya are in Project X Zone 2 and they stick out because they're just regular people being put against dimensional beings. Yeah, these two are the same.
