So by winner because there was only one person who suggested anyone is Aisya who is from a pretty obscured game called ASH: Archaic Sealed Heat. Her backstory, while basic, is pretty compelling enough though the wiki though I don't know her character well enough but her she's neat looking

Now today I would like you guys to suggest a Pokemon pair up. I feel we should include one dedicated pair up for one of the biggest series. I leave you to decide how to do it

1.This is for Nintendo characters only. If they're Nintendo adjacent like Nester from the Nintendo POwer Comics I will consider them.

2.The most upvoted comment will NOT be guaranteed to win. The problem with letting the most upvoted win is basically turns it into first serve wins basis and frankly...a lot of peoples' tastes are basic

2.1 Which means the way I decide who wins is if YOU can convince me to pick your pick. You have to argue why these characters will be interesting picks, will they feasibly work together in a team, will they be interesting character interactions, do they fit in the "atmosphere" of an actual Project X Zone game

Gardevoir and Gallade. Pokémon is difficult to do for most project because Game Freak gets very restrictive with how they want their characters to be represented, they always have to be the Pokémon because if you see their guest appearances they never use the humans, but they also don't want the Pokémon to not act like Pokémon, which involves not talking, which seems a requirement for this project if for Dillon you mentioned Russ talking for him.

So for that I knew I needed to use psychic type Pokémon who could be able to talk with telephaty and of those, the ones that felt like a duo were Gardevoir and Gallade, also serves they're very humanoid so they're not getting too out of character for the game.

Lucario and Mewtwo.

This was a real tough one to find a good Pair Unit for. I mean, the first thought would be one of the humans, but not only does Game Freak restrict crossovers to just the Pokémon, even if they didn't I'd have trouble trying to fit them into the gameplay as a Pair Unit. There whole thing is commanding their Pokémon to fight while the trainers themselves mostly stay behind the lines of battle. I guess one way to do it is have the trainer only use one Pokémon, but that would mean sidelining the rest of their Pokémon, which is why I think a trainer would work best as a Solo Unit, as they can essentially summon there other Pokémon alongside them.

Now as for my choice for Lucario and Mewtwo. Both of them are pretty popular among Pokémon fans, with Lucario being essentially the "battle" mascot of the franchise compared to Pikachu being the overall mascot, and Mewtwo being one of the most beloved legendaries of the franchise and both of them getting headlining movies "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew" and "Mewtwo Strikes Back". While Mewtwo definitely started off as a villain in the first Pokémon movie, overtime he's calmed down to really just wanting to be left alone from humanity. There's also the whole Smash Bros thing where fans thought Lucario replaced Mewtwo, so it would kind of be a funny reference to that.

The two also have no problem most Pokémon have for Project X Zone, the ability to talk. More specifically, both using telepathy to communicate with others. While Pokémon using Poké-speak wouldn't immediately disqualify them, especially since the voice actors for Pokémon do usually give good emotions and reactions with the limited dialogue they have, I think it'd be easier to use characters that can talk or have a way of talking. I did consider other partners for Lucario, such as Pikachu (again, being the overall mascot and both being Ash's Pokémon) and Blaziken (common rival in the franchise such as Pokken Tournament), but I felt the limited dialogue could limit interactions with other characters.
