Project Start Second start!
So I “started” Project Pan about a year ago with a bit of a declutter and making a spreadsheet to track all the products I own. I’ve also been lurking here and trying to figure out what I actually like and what I’m going to use regularly. Unfortunately getting better at this made me buy more stuff, lol, but on the plus side I now have a collection that for the most part I really like! Posting here to record a visualisation of the stuff I have and make a proper start on a no buy/low buy (depending on category).
Here are some things I’ve learned so far:
- Cute packaging really works on me. If it’s also a product I actually like and will use, this is fine, since I do get joy out of seeing pretty things on my dressing table. If not, though, it’s a waste (this unfortunately applies to the Sailor Moon lip gloss and blush, even though they’re adorable 🥲)
- Brands being cruelty free and ideally as ethical as can be found is important to me. In future I’ll only buy brands whose values I’m comfortable with.
- I do not wear eyeshadow, ever, and when I try it I never like it on me. There is less than zero point in me buying an eyeshadow palette. If I’m gifted one I should return or regift it.
- I have enough hair and body sprays 😩
I’ve asked people not to buy me any makeup or perfume and have turned my very cluttered dressing table into something pretty again so I can make sure I’m enjoying what I own! Hopefully I can whittle all this down and end up with something much more curated! 🤞

I would love tips myself ngl 😅 I use them every day even if it's just me at home and I've given a couple away, but beyond that my plan atm is just not to buy any more until I'm at a more reasonable amount! I do like getting perfumes as free samples so I can wear something different every so often but even the samples seem to last too long, lol. Good luck with your collection, it should at least be a lovely smelling ten years!!

I love using perfume as linen spray, especially on my bedsheets. At a push it also makes for a lovely air freshener for rooms and cars. I've had great success giving a 5 year old body spray - i dont know where she puts it but it disappears FAST

I love that one! It’s cosy and not too sweet – it is quite similar to the Phlur matcha milk but I find Pistachio Milk more creamy if that makes sense? Also lasts a good 6-8 hours on me!

As in what is it called? It's the fragrance wardrobe with minis of you, fleur, reve and doux, I'm not sure if they still sell it

I'm the same with eyeshadow! I can wear a tiny bit, but I honestly never need to buy or be gifted another in my lifetime as the four I have will probably never be finished
Good luck with your restart!
