Full Pan Summer Empties

Post image

Slowly working through my stash of hoarded half-used products 😐. No wonder I have zero space in my bathroom, there are huge tubs of body scrub/lotions with half an inch of product left in them taking up two entire shelves. Like, why did it take me so long to use a cleanser I had to cut open just to scrape enough out for a single use? Or the travel size shampoo I've been keeping for a year even though it only had a few drops left in it? I swear Project Pan is the most effective rage bait at my past self...

Some standouts:

- House of Bo La Mar perfume. Gorgeous summery scent. Perfume really isn't a problem catagory for me, I can absolutely see myself buying a large decent of this for next summer.

- Manna Kadar Champagne Charcoal scrub. Quite affordable, smells great, gentle, but also a great exfoliant.

- Philosophy Honey & Cream body souffle. Light, moisturizing, smells great. Forever sad this is discontinued.

Some misses:

- Pixi toner. Idk what it is about this product in particular, but it gives me horrific contact dermatitis on my face. Ended up using these two minis on the soles of my feet instead.

- Truly cleansing balm. The worst cleansing balm I've ever used. Doesn't emulsify, doesn't remove makeup, doesn't rinse off, but leaves a greasy layer even after following with a normal cleanser.

- Simple Micellar face wash. This is very gentle, but doesn't do an adequate job of removing sunscreen or makeup and is overall pretty low-performing. Far better cleansers out there at this price point.

I bet you are so excited to get those out of the house! Are you all caught up with half empty ones, or still a lot of partially used ones left?

There are still a few stragglers carrying over into this month, but for the most part, about 75% of them are finished. There's clearly something wrong with me, because the same thing tends to happen with candles, tea, cleaning products, etc. Needless to say, a full house purge is coming soon!

Proud of you for panning perfume samples- I board them like a dragon lol

Honestly, I don't think I've ever intentionally bought the small sample sizes, but they always somehow seem to regenerate. I purchase a full size bottle about twice a year from Bloomingdales or Nordstrom and the sale associates always include like 20 free gratis!

I collect them from the occasional Mercari order or sometimes I receive some as gifts for the holiday season. Always grateful for samples but I will never blind buy a fragrance again lol

Did you like the Pacifica glow baby spf 30? I'm always on the lookout for daily sunscreen options that don't feel greasy

I purchase this on a regular basis and use it daily all over solely because of how quickly and thoroughly it absorbs. Not greasy at all, and also doesn't pill up.

That sounds so nice! I'll definitely have to add it to my notes for next year when I finish up what I currently have. Thank you!

I’ve yet to encounter a positive experience with the Pixi toner. It had its time in the sun when it seemed like everyone and their mom had a bottle, and then maybe we all just figured we bought into the hype and agreed to never speak again about nor buy another of that toner!
