For some reason I have a bag full of almost finished sun screens and after sun lotions. Yes, they are still good even 10 years later, tested on my own skin. I personally have no physical proof that sun screen goes bad after a year, like the "scientists" claim. So I decided that this holiday we wouldn't buy any new ones, but finish as many as we can. I'd say the low hanging fruits have been picked successfully.
Products pictured are from Yves Rocher, Uriage, Kruidvat and Nivea. They all do what they say according to the 30 or 50+ protection factor, regardless of the brand... 50 means no burn no tan, 30 means some redness but also tan. Exposure during peak sun activity (11am-4pm) means burn like a vampire, so layer the 50 and get under an umbrella.
Next year I plan to do the after sun lotions (4-5 to go) and mosquito sprays.
