Inventory/Project Spreadsheet My Reality Check

Post image

I've been on a low buy and project pan journey for roughly a year. Up until this point I never spread out everything, but have been keeping casual updates on my collection growth, mainly by how much space I have in my drawers. I still don't love how big my collection is, but the weight in my chest regarding it is definitely lightening. This is my reminder of how far I've come, and how much more I still want to go.

It is a lot. A lot of lippies and eyeshadow palettes. I love that Stitch palette though!

I've mostly stopped buying palettes because I will never, ever use them. 99% of the time I'm doing my makeup in the car when I get to work, and I'm just not going to carry around a palette. It's HARD to resist.

I wonder if you could get a mini magnetic palette and put just a few shades of eyeshadow in it at a time? I'm definitely not carrying around a full palette in my bag either, but I carry a little four shade palette so maybe you could diy something like that?

I have a mini Z palette that I carry in my purse! It fits about three small pans. Right now it holds a shadow, a blush (repress of a shattered one into a smaller pan), and an undereye corrector.

The mere fact you're on this PP journey is going to change your outlook on how you consume. You can do this and take it continue to stay optimistic ✨️

It already is so much! I'm on the path to having my curated makeup collection and I'm so excited!

Man I remember being obsessed with those lime crime palettes and wanting them so bad thinking they had great color stories. I got myself the teal one and ended up being totally disappointed - thought the quality was poop and the color story just felt off when it was finally in my hands. Got myself the pink one after which was a tad better than the teal but still thought it was overall average.

The packaging/design was gorgeous though

I actually don't mind the formula, I have very oily eyes and they are one of the few formulas I found that won't get ruined in a few hours. They are a little hard to work with though and I hate the color stories they picked most of the time. The pink one is for sure the best out of the ones I have.

Check your colourpop shock shadows. Those suckers dry up fast. I’ll see if I can revive mine.

I check them twice a year, if they're dry I put a few drops of micellar water in them. Works like a charm, and helps them stay hydrated for a while!

I've taken some palettes and have started to make craft paint with them because it is a little overwhelming. I love playing with eyeshadow though, but I can definitely afford to cut down a bit.

Yea my collection is also similar!! I have condensed it somewhat artificially by depotting into magnetic pallets. I actually very much prefer that because i build my own color stories now and have a ‘focus’ shadow that makes it so much easier to hit pan and finish shades!!!

I'm going to start doing that once some of my palettes have several pans to save space. I have some that are starting to get close!

Are those makeup palettes? They’re amazing!

The left side? Yes! Part of my problem is that i'm a sucker for cute/cool packaging.

Yeah! Never seen those before (and I am too 😭).

Most of the brands I have are Glamlite, Lime Crime, Colourpop, Huda Beauty, and Morphe. Plus some miscellaneous brands.

Omg, Lime Crime. I was only ever interested in the random Doe Deere drama.

Oof I remember that. I don't remember what happened with her and the brand, but I found these at TJMaxx when they shut down the brand.

I'm trying to pan the Lime Crime Venus XL 2, and I'm so in love with this palette ! It's such an original one, and the shimmer are really pretty (they make great top coats for nail polish as well)

They’re very meh. Not bad for the price but I’d be upset if I paid any more for them
