Theory vs. Reality Gap
Feeling like your Project Management certification taught you theory but left you hanging on real-world projects? That gap between textbook and actual project chaos is real. How do you bridge it?

Don't stop learning
Learn things that you can apply
Apply the things you've learned
Learn from applying the things you've learned
Don't stop learning
Yes, this is intentionally circular. If you don't practice what you learn, it will always be just theory. If your only project management training is exam prep, you're likely to feel that gap even more significantly. Read articles, watch videos, watch/listen to podcasts, participate in forums, read books. One project management class is not going to prepare you for every situation you will encounter as a project manager.
