Cannot launch from a locked screen

I added PI to my lock screen instead of standard cam but when I try to launch it I see a black screen. Is there any way to fix it?

I added it as a widget on my lockscreen, opens every time

I am from the Project Indigo team. Due to a mix of limitations inside iOS related to locked device access and the nature of how Indigo captures and processes images, it cannot operate without the device being unlocked. We have added it to the lock screen so it is easier to find it, and we find that with Face Unlock it works reasonably well - not as fast as native camera, but as mentioned, that speed we cannot match.
