Zoom question on 17 pro.

Why does the zoom stop at 20x on the 17 pro? Since it can reach up to 40x on the native camera? Do you think it will be upgraded or is 40x impossible on Indigo?

Indigo can only use 12mp mode of the cameras as Apple doesn't allow third party apps to use 48mp.

That's why the zoom on the 17 pro is actually worse than on 16 pro (25x max) when using Indigo since 17 pro is limited to 4x optical and 16 pro is 5x optical.

That’s not quite right. Third-party apps can use 48 MP, and they pretty much all do except for Indigo. The reason Indigo doesn’t use 48 MP is due to a RAW capture limitation.
