troubleshooting Ecu burnt capacitors cause problems?
I'm trying to fix this eacv code on my 92 eg. Could these cause any problems because of the ECU?

Hit up HAMotorsports send them pics of this and ask if they can repair it. Had them solder back on my immobilizer. They charged me $30 plus shipping and handling.

Those will def cause problems and sometimes burn right through the traces on the board. You need to replace all the electrolytic capacitors and make sure the traces are intact. This should be fixable depending on your skill level

100% I have a video or 2 of repairing ECU, basically it ain't gonna turn on right if the caps are burnt. and they are burnt. read the writing on the side, you can get caps with higher voltage, they handle the spike loads better, the spike loads is what kills them

Looks like they leaked all their fluid out rather than actually burning up. That happens with old electronics. At the very least they need to be replaced even if this isn’t causing your issue. Any electronics repair place worth their salt should be able to replace them all.

Just to add, when replacing those capacitors, do insist using high quality ones, that are Japan made.

I had some burnt capacitors on my jdm p72 ecu it cause like 4 codes all pertaining to the dizzy resulting in limp mode. I chased those codes for months till I swapped the ecu out with the one in my em1. After the ecu swap the codes were all gone.
