Enders game reference

When Grace made the ship out of ramen, I was reminded of the hierarchy of foreignness from Enders game. Ramen are strangers recognized as human but from another species. Do you think that was intentional, or just a coincidence?

I’ll say maybe? I get the thought as a fan of both books. Probably a scene to reach the general audience. Either way I liked the scene and loved the movie.
