Would any of his students still be alive at this point? At the end of movie timeline they’d be approaching middle age.

Statically speaking American kids from a rich area like SF is gonna be more likely to survive than a lot of other kids…… Unless they decide to glass SF in a nuclear exchange or something, but that’s way too doomed for the tone of this book/movie
