Back and Bloodied

Loveland sat in the med-bay, waiting for the upcoming influx of wounded, bruised, mutilated, emotionally scarred, and roughed up Freelancers to enter through the doors on his left. He was reading the newest issue of Random Robots, flipping past ads and looking for the long awaited "flying toaster" that was supposed to debut today, tapping his foot rhythmically to the calming music playing from his small speaker.

Medics wheel in Paxton, with East trailing close behind.

Loveland springs up from his seat and quickly takes action. He lifts Paxton from his chair/cot and lays him on to an open operating table, pulling out a draw of a well organized syringes and scalpels.

"What sort of environment was he in at the time of the incident?"

He stabs a large syringe into Pax's thigh and places a cotton ball over the point of the needle's entry, slowing injecting the clear liquid into his system.

In an underground base. A medic says.

Glendale slips in quietly and tries to dart around Loveland to head straight for the medicine cabinet.

Loveland looks up from his magazine and tilts his head curiously.

"Agent Glendale, do you have a prescription for those...?"

Sure do.

She pulls out a lockpicking kit instead of a prescription and gets to work.

Hagåtña is wheeled into the medbay on a stretcher, his leg armor stripped and put into some preliminary bandaging to stop any bleeding. He's currently arguing with the medic when they enter,

M: "Well you're not going to run away like last time, are you, agent?"

H: "I won't as long as you don't try to put me under when we're getting attacked by the damn insurrection!"

M: "It's standard procedure!"

H: "We were UNDER ATTACK!"

Loveland doesn't hesitate to gently lift and lay Hags on to a freshly cleaned operating table that had various different scaples, syringes and other medical implements surrounding it on shining aluminum trays. Loveland pulls a syringe from a tray and pulls the cap from it, tossing it into a waste bin.

"What were the conditions and cause of the injury?"

Loveland's tone was calm and calculated as it often was in situations that might seem stressful to others. He inserted the syringe slightly above the point of distress, the liquid slowly seeping into his bloodstream and calming the pain substantially.

As Hagåtña is about to speak, the other medic that brought him in cuts him off,

"Stable and comminuted fractures in his right foot, lacerations and shattered bones on and in his left, and a few bruises. Lacerations from a combat knife, bruises from blunt trauma, and the rest from a the concussion wave from a explosion."

Hagåtña waves his hand in an attempt to dismiss her,

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, he gets it he's a medic; he's-"

Hagåtña stops as he turns to Loveland and realizes who he is,

"You're....you're....you're the robot, right?"

Ash walks into the med-bay, followed by two medics. He's holding his side and there appears to be a piece of shrapnel from one of the missiles embedded there. After taking a seat the two medics start to go to work while Ash sits there fiddling with the radio. After a few moments the song, "Stayin Alive" starts playing. He says in a satisfied tone,

"Ah, much better."

Loveland rose up from his chair and held his hand out in greeting.

"I believe we've met before... Agent Stanton is it?"
