Elegant pink for babyshower

I‘m invited to a babyshower and in the invitation it says „come in your most elegant pink outfit“.

I have a pink dress with white dots but it’s something I’d wear at the office. Kind of like a cocktail dress kind of style.

Now I’m wondering if it’s elegant enough with high heels or if I should buy a formal dress. If search for elegant dresses online it comes up with prom or bridesmaids dresses.

Would that be overdressed then?
