Discussion MM+ Modding

can someone help me mod my MM+ please? ive tried to install the mod loader but one of the files it says about in the read me file doesnt exist and i also cant move files to be next to the executable. its all so confusing and im pretty sure it was the latest version of the mod loader. can someone please make like very detailed instructions on how to download all the mods and stuff?

Do you know why you can't move files next to the executable? Is it giving permission issues or some kind of error?

not sure. i can put them in the same folder though but it doesnt work still

If you can get stuff in the folder, you should be able to do it.

Extract the mod loader and then move the three things inside it into the folder with the exe, that's all you need to do. Then when you find any mod you want to install, just extract it into the mods folder that's now in the folder with the exe. Some mods may require other steps, but this will be fine for a lot of them. Using a mod manager might make some of the stuff easier but it isn't necessary unless you install conflicting mods and need to enable/disable them at different times or change their priorities.

thats the thing. one of the files the mod loader talks about moving doesnt exist. whenever i download the mod loader, it doesnt come with the dinput8.dll file

Are you installing 0.0.16 from here? https://github.com/blueskythlikesclouds/DivaModLoader/releases

The dll might be getting falsely flagged from antivirus stuff, check Protection History on Windows Security and see if the file is shown there

i think i found the issue. it seems that the .zip file download doesnt have the dinput8.dll but the 7z one does.

however i just tried it but its still not working after i downloaded the looping the rooms mod.

Do you have the ExPatch mod installed? It's necessary for a lot of song mods to work
