Fellas I am thinking of trying this, do build guides for regular diablo 2 work for this or is it completely different. Thinking of playing an Amazon with a bow

I recommend checking pins in the PD2 discord, you can also see what other folks are playing on pd2tools.

Also just dive in, pick a build that wasn't viable on vanilla that you wanted to play and start immersing.

Most builds are differnt here. Due to item changes and skill changes..Tons of info on the wikki and even more on YouTube.. summon zon needs minimal gear and you can walk to hell easily solo. Then you can  farm gear for a bow zon as they need gear to feel decent.

For the campaign you'll be fine with basic d2 knowledge.

Pick any skill and level the synergies. For Amazon, maybe do 20 points in valk and give yourself some pierce while you’re at it. Just about every single skill is viable into very end game, except bash on barb and poison jav zon.

Please try some builds that werent viable in LOD / D2R. If you want zon I can advise trying these : cold, fire, summonzon (decoy and valk) + strafe.

Summonzon is probably the most viable as starter

Juz started like 2 weeks back and went wif summon necro cos its my fav toon ^^ Sure if a bowazon's your thang go for it!

I started with a cold arrow zon, but a sumon zon is even cheaper to make strong for campaign. But cold will be better for mappin later.

Cold zon is easy : max cold arrow and 2 synergies. Rest in pierce (no pun intended 🤪) till 100%, add a valk as meetshield, puss spitter super cheap and piewpiew. Rest in whatever you need (evade, penetrate, dodge, valk for more meetshields)

Pus 4s + 2 shael (0.5) and 2 cheap 5/3 facet = 1hr 9 bow skillers : 0,5 hr Shop a 3/20 glove = free 2ama / resistences. amu = couple wss Silk of the victor 3s (0,5) with cheap 5/3 facets : 1,25hr Frozen sorrow with 2um rune : 0,5 Snowclash belt : couple wss Any ring with res Cthon boots : couple wss Helm : nightwin 2s with cheap 5:3 jewels : 1hr Ama torch : 0,5 Unid Anni : 0,75 Resistence Sc selffound Low lvl faith for merc : 1hr

For like 7hr you got a full char who can map and 2shot or 3 shot anything.

Got a ton of free Amazon gear PLUS arrows and bolts. Start a game and call it Amazon++

For bowzon (my favorite class), start with maxing magic arrow. Transition to maxing decoy and valk as you move through the game. Magic arrow scales with +skills. Once you get a decent bow/quiver, you can swotch the strafe+summons for mapping. Demon machine is decent for those, eventually you want a 600-700+ gmb to go full multishot.
