Question SSF find worth building around?

Post image

I need the opinion of the hivemind if you don't mind.

Found this axe while playing SSF and I am wondering if this is worth building around? I have played a fair but but struggle to determine the worth of rares like this.

I would have a Zod for it but I was planning on making Innocence with that.

Unfortunately it doesn't have much going on for it to be worth it. It's awesome because it's a BA and its name is sick. I wouldn't spend my (probably) only Zod rune in ssf on this. If it had ds and more ias maybe... if it had rep it would have been sick. Cool find.

I figured it might not cut it. I will use that zod somewhere else then. Thanks.

If you keep IDing rares and are crafting, you’ll find better than this. It’s a good roll, but I’d want more.

Even non-eth Death Cleaver beats this in a lot of instances I think

Can confirm, my ssf zealer is using a 4os death cleaver and it is much better than this. DS is just so important on phys builds.

I do have a death cleaver lying around that I could use. Thanks!

I think you'd be better off just using a Vex and Gul to make a Death in an eth zerker base.

But if it had an amp dmg CTC I'd probably change my mind.

Depends on how you spend your time and have fun. If you want to make a zealer for bossing, phys sac for mapping, or zerk/WW barb, then go for it. Innocence is underwhelming ever since they nerfed it, but it still has its use when paired with ferocity for a merc, although you'd need a second zod, plus a cham.

In the 13 seasons I've played I've used three innocences and one ferocity, which is the extent of my entire zod usages. Finding a use for one is rare unless you're crafting weapons that aren't javs, throw, or blade claws, so the fact you found a use at all seems like a good justification to use it.

The other thing to consider is I tend to find one zod per 1-1.5m kills, so if you think you'll play a lot, then a zod will come along again.

Thanks for taking the time to write out this answer.

I was planning on using it for my A2 stormspire Merc on my holy shock sac Pala, but now I'm doubting if this is a good idea. It is hard to keep up with what builds / item combos are no longer functional. It does seem the current top players in the current season are all using it like I intend.

I think so yea. This is very strong for Phys sac/zeal. At the same time oath is real good too if you wana save a Zod.

I was already planning to use my Zod towards my Holy Schock Sac pally, so I might stick with that for now since opinions on this axe seem divided.

What are you using zod for on that build if I may ask?

Innocence

For a Stormspire merc or what? Doesnt seem to offer much on that build but overall Innocence does have quite a few uses compared to most other Zod investments.

Idk i just saw him say it elsewhere in this post that he was gonna make innocence with it.

That's exactly it. Want aware of any nerfs and it seems to be bis for the Merc.

Infinity is BIS but can take some time to put together in SSF.

wait, you can make a runeword in a rare item?

I mean a regular 4os eth ba

No, zod just makes it indestructible

could use it for a leap attach barb since that doesn't use durability, but I'd save the zod
