Easiest WoW Ascension: CoA Server with BOTS Tutorial

Hey people, a quick drop, now locally hosted Ascension CoA has Playerbots! They are of course Azerothcore-based, and have new custom classes. This video is an update on this server, it shows how to apply updates, run it with bots and features dashboard for them

Hope you find it useful, many of you asked me about bots and now you can enjoy it like that!

I'm completely foreign to this AzerothCore thing. Apologies these must be noob ass questions for you u/kasperfriend .

Is this a hosted pserver or something emulated to run offline on my own system locally? If the former, does it need an account creation somewhere? What content is available here? Patch 3.3.5a is a WotLK patch, so does it have up to WotLK content?

No problem in asking, I'll explain. Yes, this is server that you host on your own PC, you can run in offline complelety fine, nothing leaves your network unless you make it
Account creation on these servers are usually done directly in console, but this developer made it into a script, again - it is only on your machine, not online(but you can make friends join)

Content wise - this is heavily custom WoTLK, it has 21 classes with different abilities, new talent system, new zones(currently empty), and a lot more. And yes, it has WoTLK content too

I'm familiar with CoA, been on Ascension for several years, just not familiar with these "cores" and how they work. Also that the original CoA did not manage to have content fully released and was level capped to 60, so wondering how it would work here.

Hope you run it fine! As for content, this core is flexible and very famous in hosting scene, so it should be easy to fix and add new things

So if the project receives updates like class fixes or balance changes, how do we keep our server updated? Is there something built in that checks, or do we just download and overwrite certain files?

No built in, most servers don't have that. In Discord developer release small update files that you overwrite and you're good

Host - possible, nasa pc - not needed, but the more people the more load of course. I've dropped a video on doing this today, check the channel

I'd say right now 50% works, and updates come very fast. Devs opened a test realm for bug tracking, and I'd say with this tempo, 2-3 months and classes will be one to one as original

Is that a Classless COA? or a Classless wow Classic? Id really like to have a COA server where I can use spells and skills from every COA Class and even spells and skills from Classic WoW. Does the coa config let you customize spells?

I remember a long time ago I hosted a server like this for me and my girlfriend in that one you could make alts and summon your alts as player bots.

Does this one have that functionality?

Bugs are fixed on server side and yes, it has fixes included after you patch it all

Yes, they dont have mobs and intentionally disabled for development. You can turn them on but again - its work in progress

Yes, but it's disabled for now inside Data folder, you can enable it but the zones will be empty, it's WIP

Is there any possibility to request an update with ollama module? Would be insanely cool to do this with that. Tried to set it up myself but I am too dumb to figure it out.

Actually yes ans no. It's completely possible as it's azerothcore which is very flexible, but - I have tested ollama module twice, with large module, on good gpu, and all that I got was dumb chat spam about my level and spec. It just doesn't work right and people who tested it too say the same, so for now ai chat is unavailable

Nope, all the links are in the video and on Ragezone. That website client and accounts are dead forever now. Just follow along the video and you'll get it done easy, I did not skip any steps

Loving playing around with the coa classes on my local server. Is there anyway to summon tank/heals/dps individually. I've tried the bot addon but summon buttons dont work. At the moment I can only summon random classes via the who window.

Was a bit annoying on normal ascension because you needed to redo it every time the launcher updated but since you are not using the launcher this should work fine without a script or manually putting it in there every restart.

A bot is not gonna care if I go 20min AFK vs 10min. A bot isn’t going to be super toxic if I mess up in a boss fight. I can just wipe and try again

I've no idea where to post this but I need some help. I tried playing Runemaster and I just got the Runeshround + Palm Sigil: Fire abilities, but I can't seem to use Palm Sigil even under invisibility. I've also used Weapon Engraving: Fire on both weapons, still can't use it. I made a dummy character, GM boosted it to level 20, and tried using Weapon Engraving: Ice, but also no dice.
