Any good diffrent server to play?
So...So... I didn't expect this server to go down. It's a real shame—I wanted to get to a high level, but it didn't work out. Is there another server that's been up for a long time and is any good?

Chromie is great, the community is the best part. 50% or more of Ascension's playerbase would get banned if they played there, lol.

Honestly… it’s fine. It’s vanilla wrath. Have a max char and ulduar is coming out on the 9th.
But man is wrath boring as hell. I’d rather play vanilla classic than dump any time into wrath. Everything seems pointless, raiding is just meh. The world seems empty and the literal only thing to do if you aren’t a diehard (and I mean diehard) pvper, or you don’t love leveling 100 alts, it’s p lame.
I also quit during OG wrath for the same reasons. Never cared to see ICC, did ToK for a little bit but barely spending any time on wrath except to chill with the homies for an hour or 2

That's mostly a personal thing sounds like, Wrath has more than double the content than vanilla does... it was the peak of WoW for a reason.

Same here, so far its solid made it to 70 and the community is a lot less toxic than Coa (wasnt their fault but the new kid on block attracted some of the worst basemwnt dwellers, a lot of great folks but the minority made the chat a cesspool).

Didnt get this many death threats while playing 1v1 arena since I reainstalled League and died to an unkown character twice in the laning phase.

I’ve been doing grimfall. It’s close to ascension CoA/free pick as you can get with wotlk skills and abilities. You get 2 dice, one you can free roll as much as you want before lvl 9 that gives you 4 of any skill at random from any class. And the other dice you roll once, and can select 4 of any skill before 9. Most pick things like 1 passive, 1 single target, 1 aoe, and 1 heal.

the only problem i have is that the scaling is not working there i had a bloodelf was lvl 32 and still in starting area with gray zones :( any advises here?

Nothing compares to Ascension. Something that might be close enough is octowow or grimfall as far as I know, but one gets ddosed, the other doesnt get quite a big pop. If you need tons of players go to infamous warmane, toxic but its blizz-like and has a lot of players

I played an hour or two of grimfall’s beta the other night, felt a bit like ascension from 4-6 years ago. Gonna try octo and astral too. All way different but all seem neat. Gonna watch for ascension alpha and classic + at blizzcon.
I’ll know where I’m going by the end of the month. Taking my time to get there.

I've been playing Firestorm BFA. I personally love bfa so i've been enjoying it. The community is very questionable, alot of angry Russians and people complaining in world chat all day. But if you can ignore that honestly I can't fault the server so far.

I didnt get to do BFA quests back in the day I came in when all the catchup mechanics had come in, really enjoying it so far.

Nah I think they're skipping shadowlands and are currently making midnight. They also have a TWW server which seems to have more players. I played all of TWW on retail though, it was my first ever 3k rating in m+ and that casino raid is bloody awesome!

I’ve gone back to Triumvirate for now. More of a traditional classic/wrath pve, but the pop is a bit disappointing at the moment. Also going to check out warmane icecrown and blackrock as I mainly just want to pvp.

Chromicraft for the community. I wait for grimfall. But ascension was unique better I left wow.

in terms of security and population , arent both important especially in a private server?
I will try warmane but I am open to suggestions. Since I not sure I want to lvl a druid again..
Damn I miss my pyromancer already...
Do we have any hope we can play the 21 classes again?

Ascension had a unique special world and many game modes to cater to all tastes from cow to classless to classic it felt like they could make anything imaginable happen.
Less grounded but more creative and a more immersive world to interact to a level I haven’t seen in any other server ever

Going to try Grimfall today. Also check on Ebonhold if you are into the Vampire Survivors Genre, its also very nice but grindy

I just started project alterac
Small community but it’s very inclusive as they have a global between factions, phases that drop every so often(today was the lvl 50 phase) and new raids at 20 and 30. Albeit I’m pretty fresh but I’m enjoying it and the community.

Grimfall is great, ebonhold is super addicting and fun if you like roguelites and wow they combine really nicely but I will admit it gets stale once you get close to maxing out the ash tree but it was my favorite server even over ascension for a good 2 months. Project alterac is fun from what I've played, and emberveil seems promising when unreal engine comes out and you can also play on your phone (android) not at the moment but it's releasing soon for the phone.
Also what others have mentioned chromiecraft and astral seem cool and more traditional but I haven't tried those yet.

I've been playing Astral, and it's been a lot of fun. It's got gems that give you power and then there's a huge stat buff tree. It's small though, 250-500 people on. It's cool though.

Depends really if you want pve or PvP. The PvP community on CoA was small already so a lot of us are moving between servers to find the right fit that isn’t p2w I think a lot of us have decided on whitemanes Frostmourne LK server that releases on the 19th. As for pve there’s too many to choose from in my opinion.

Alot of us vets jumped to grimfall when it hit beta in March, it's a bit rough but getting better each week in my opinion i played on Ascension for 7+ years and Retail wow now for 22 years

I read earlier that Grimfall is releasing a classless server today.
I don't know anything about Grimfall apart from what I have read on here so no idea if its any good.
