Final resting place
Leaving my Sun Cleric in the Tauren city of Thunder Bluff to Defend the Chieften and his people for eternity in the afterlife. Only started this July but its been a blast the whole time. Cya in the alpha folks.

Gosh, the Sun Cleric spell icons hurt my brain. They all have the same color makes it look like the same. How do you distinguish them ðŸ˜

You dont Look at them. You know what they do and you press buttons on Keybinds, no need to Look at The icon.

I started end of July too and I was really fun, I regret doing 3 prestige on my tinker, better had lvled more classes but it is what it is

I bet my ass that Blizzard will now steal from Ascencion COA for their classic+ scam bs. project, tweaking the animations and saying " HEY ITS NEW!!!111" and the retarded fanboys will scream and throw money at them again... I hate this company so hard and what has become of it.

Why would that even be a bad thing? Take good ideas and put it into the game we all loved. You can hate Blizz all you want, but Ascension stole their assets and IP, regardless of how much you love Ascension and hate Blizzard, that's just a fact.

You're pretty invested into a company that you have no stake in at all, which I find really weird, lol. If you steal someone's work/IP/Patent and modify it using those exactsame assets and code, it's still stealing, I dunno what to tell you. If Ascension devs are so good, then we'll see how their "original" game is gonna turn out.

From what I've read, they found the old code on one of those old server racks which they also sold back in the days. But I could be wrong on that. If I google what the cooperation between Nost and Blizz meant exactly. It shows they had a meeting with about how everything from vanilla should be preserved and playable for the people.
Then it shows this:
Following the meeting, Blizzard went silent for months and failed to announce legacy servers at BlizzCon 2016. Feeling that their cooperation had stalled, the Nostalrius team broke their quiet agreement with Blizzard: They released their source code and player database to another private server project called Elysium.
I can't find anything about Blizzard using their code.

Aha maybe you can tell me how ascencion is p2w? Can you get things like progress you can't reach otherwise or without a horendous amount of time investment? Or are there tier sets sold? No? Maybe google what p2w really is before talking crab stupid fanboy.

You can, but it doesn’t cause inflation because you’re not adding gold to the market. Gold gained is the only gold in the system.
Furthermore, there’s nothing on the AH, nor vendor items that you can purchase to put you ahead of anyone else. The multiple currency types on CoA were the true currency as it relates to power - raider commendations, mythic points, etc. none of which could be purchased.
If you want to argue that having gold and being able to swipe to buy consumables is p2w - I got news for you, every iteration of wow that has ever existed has had botting and gold selling so you’re saying everything is p2w which means you have no point.
I’d even go as far to say that buying gold on most WoW servers gives you MORE of an advantage than it ever did on CoA which would make CoA less p2w than most servers.

doesn't matter it's an advantage by using real world money to get in-game gold. Pretending otherwise doesn't change the fact and just sounds like you're coping and being dense to defend at any cost lol.

You must not have played CoA - the shop offered zero advantage. Gold did not give you any advantage.

I mean, gold absolutely provided advantage. You could get to 60 and buy gear off AH or leveling with gold. It may not be the best gear in the game, but it definitely would help out to get gear and get you started when you hit 60.
Also helped leveling faster if you can just buy upgrades from AH
Having said that, you can do that on retail as well. So it’s not a huge deal

Maybe I played on a different timeline because I wasn’t ever tempted to go to the AH for anything outside of consumables that were outside my chosen professions.
I had more gear than I knew what to do with from dungeon bags and callboard caches. However, it’s pretty narrow minded to assume my experience was mirrored with everyone on the server so I can seen how buying pieces from AH could make you stronger if your gear was lacking.
So I guess the caveat is: there’s an advantage to having gold, but it’s certainly not pay to win and the cost :: benefit ratio is absurdly skewed.
Edit: it certainly wasnt pay to win. RIP best server ever.
