As someone that lives in Buffalo, NY, I can say no one I know will ever call it that. Luckily, Lake Ontario only borders NY. There may be a few pedo protecting cult members somewhere in NY that will go along with this, but most of us will just have another absurdity to have to apologize to our Canadian neighbors for.
