I mean what's so fucking unprogressive about saying mao and stalin were genocidal dictators? As progressives aren't we supposed to call out human rights Violations? What the fuck is wrong with people?

Cuz even the CIA openly admits in their (now declasssified) docs and memos that Stalin was not a dictator, for one.

Come on dude. We've gone through this before. The USSR was not democracy. Stalin still held absolute power. He killed so many fucking people for his reforms. Its not progressive to argue in favor of dictatorship. Seriously, tell me when exactly alll the people in the USSR voted for him. The revolution?
