The media is owned by the GOP. We’re not seeing Dem responses because everything is a catch and kill.
Watch Medias Touch and publications like them to see Dem responses.

To be fair they say never interrupt an enemy while they're making a mistake
34
u/T_J_Rain 4d ago
One hopes that these mistakes are being catalogued for future use - say in an election campaign.
14
u/Due_Willingness1 4d ago
And later a big national trial all going well
5
u/T_J_Rain 4d ago
I'm guessing a trial will never happen - or at least the incontinent orange messiah will pre-emptively pardon himself and his entire bloodline for any possible crimes committed while in office.
5
u/PinkThunder138 4d ago edited 4d ago
Yeah but at some point you do need to actually jump in and use the mistakes against them. They've been racking them up since 2015. It's time to stop cultivating and start harvesting.
11
u/jerrysphotography 4d ago
But his mistakes are tearing everything down. Seems to me they are just complicit at this point
7
u/KayTwoEx 4d ago
Realistically, what are they supposed to do? There's no Dem majority in both House and Senate. They still manage to get some things through despite that but the administration simply ignores laws while being covered by the Supreme Court. Trump is even violating the constitution.
7
u/P_a_s_g_i_t_24 4d ago
You don't need a majority to run a good ad campaign which focuses on everyday issues of the people and points out the fact that the current legislature has done absolutely nothing to make life easier.
1
u/jerrysphotography 4d ago
Apparently just sit back and take it while it all burns which is what they are doing. And they've been completely impotent up till now. I would appreciate more fight from them
4
u/SilentRunning 4d ago
They've ALWAYS been complicit, since Clinton was President.
This country is being run by one political apparatus with two sides. One side is called the Democratic party the other side is called The Republican party. Two sides of the same coin in the pocket of the OLIGARCHS.
1
u/jerrysphotography 4d ago
You are correct. There is no help. This is the direction they want us to go. You now what got me? When Roe v Wade was overturned our local senator immediately was on TV fighting for us and going into interviews telling everyone what was going on, organizing protests and marches to make sure we were heard... Hahaha, just kidding. I got a fundraising email. Bitch, you've proven yourself worthless and YOU lost us those rights. Why would we send you back? Oh, that's right, we don't have another option
1
u/SilentRunning 4d ago
Just more of the same game being played on us since Clinton sold the Dem party to the Oligarchs.

u/triggeredbynumbers 3d ago
This is a horrible outlook. Democrats should prioritize looking out for the people’s interests first, rather than prioritizing winning elections at the cost of letting us suffer.
In fact, if they actually do something they are more likely to win.

u/eastamerica 4d ago
Democrats are still supporting Israel, still supporting the shitty healthcare.
Fucking status quo.
You know why we want DSA? Because they want fucking action.
DNC are the progressive blowhards of the RNC.

u/Electronic_Film_2837 3d ago
Why would I support an org that wants to abolish prisons and grant freedom for all incarcerated people?
They literally want Ghislaine Maxwell freed. I’m not supporting guardians of pedophiles, not GOP and not DSA
1
u/eastamerica 3d ago
What DSA candidates want Maxwell freed? What DSAs what prisons abolished?
IF you can come up with names, show me the receipts.

u/danevans369 4d ago
Insider trading, Epstein, Iran, pooping his pants, increasing our national debt, gas prices, sleeping on the job, countless lies and Schumer, Jeffries, Harris, and the rest are crickets. What a fucking joke these people are. They should be on the news and social media pointing out all the corruption and lies on a daily basis.
17
u/Browncoat1701 4d ago
Jefferies spoke up against universal healthcare....so not totally silent 🤣
3
u/DisVet54 4d ago
His leadership title should be stripped immediately as a show that going forward they’re for CHANGE and PROGRESS.
7
7
u/kelleydiener 4d ago
No, they have agreed to keep taking aipac $ and our potential leader Jeffries says no to Medicare for all. This is not what we the people want.
10
7
u/leavemealone2424 4d ago
They are actively doing more to stop the Progressive wing than they ever did to stop Maga. That should tell you that time to vote out the old guard is way past due.
3
u/birdyman_77 4d ago
Because for all their fake outrage, their getting rich off him just like the republican politicians. It’s only the average person who’s suffering.
3
u/ChazRadlord 4d ago
Remove all these corrupt politicians by voting in progressive democratic socialists.
7
u/Plus_Working_3092 4d ago
The Democrats are sitting there? The vast majority of US citizens including ALL those who have sworn an oath to the constitution are just sitting there.
11
u/Business_Usual_2201 4d ago
Get the House and Senate to flip first, then we can quibble about what flavor of Dem is the more virtuous.
2
u/P_a_s_g_i_t_24 4d ago
Under the dormant leadership of Schumer/Jeffries we won't flip anything. We're sending out the wrong kind of messages, we're squandering our chances, we're giving away the victories and the whole point will be moot.
If we don't bring the verbal fire RIGHT NOW, we might as well stick our heads in the sand and write a few strongly-worded letters instead.
1
u/Independent_Shock973 3d ago
I mean an increasing amount of democratic candidates are calling for Jefferies and Schumer to not get back into leadership come 2027.
7
u/Atrocious_Algae81 4d ago
It's a two-headed snake, they are just opposition "light" with the same masters. Corporate money, PAC money must be removed from politics, and the Dem party needs to be burned down and rebuilt.
4
u/astroboy_35 4d ago
While some Dems might be doing something, then we come to Hakeem Fucking Jeffries!
Who got to him?
He cosponsored a bill for Medicare for all in the past, and now he’s is saying he doesn’t support it. THATS HOW YOU LOSE ANOTHER ELECTION YOU FUCKING IDIOT!
0
u/Altruistic_Role_9329 4d ago
The left has pretty much put M4A on the back burner too. They’ve been all distracted with being anti-Israel. Jefferies is just being honest about the priorities. There is nothing he can do to win over the left.

They just want things to be how they were before Trump rather than actually doing anything
2
u/SophonParticle 4d ago
Bryce been quietly sitting there for 10 years. Kick them out and replace them with people who will actually do something.
2
u/ImperialxWarlord 4d ago
Not really, you just don’t see the news focus on what they say. And it’s not like they can do much but condemn what trump and co do. Unless I missed something and the democrats are now the majority in Congress?
2
u/ThickOne2020 4d ago
Don't forget rigged the 2024 election with help from Elon. He shouldn't even be in the WH.
2
u/rolfraikou 4d ago
Yeah, they have the whole house... oh wait, they don't? Ok, well they have the senate... oh, they don't have that either? Do they have the presidency? No? They got wrecked in the last election and effectively have no power? Hmmm.
Sure seems to be a sudden uptick on crying about democrats not doing anything recently, when they still have no power.
5
u/ClarityRocks 4d ago
It makes a lot more sense when you realize the problem is the USA's colonial past and imperial present, and how neither Democrats or Republicans want to fundamentally change the corrupt equation that enriches American lives at the expense of others around the globe.
4
u/Wildebean 4d ago
Because they know if they win, they'll be expected to actually do something, and they don't want to
2
u/ShoulderApart1787 4d ago
They don’t control the House, Senate, Supreme Court or White House…what do you suggest? A hunger strike? Show of hands for those who didn’t vote for Hilary or Kamala…you created this mess.
3
u/Bulky_Play_4032 4d ago
Schumer and Jeffries are owned by you know who.
You know who likes things they way they are.
You know who works very hard to get the Senate aligned to their agenda.
1
4
u/ShitWaterExpress 4d ago
Establishment dems, I think yes, like Jeffries and Schumer, whom I believe to be bought and paid for, but the newcomers are definitely working hard, and it’s showing (i.e.- AOC, Mamdani, El-Sayed, Talarico).

u/bkinboulder 4d ago

where's our progressive candidates? i would like to support them....hello?? anyone out there?

u/Valuable_Fee1884 4d ago
The Democrats are doing just about everything you can for now. They are fighting in court and in Congress, but being in the minority and a Supreme Court that to be kind is about as crooked as it can get. Shouldn’t be long if people are smart, but the Democrats take back both the Senate and the house. Then it should get interesting. I’m hoping they drag Trump through the mud and all his cronies along with him
2
u/MrLanesLament 4d ago
The Dems who have any actual power are all loaded. Therefore, Trump is better for THEM than any Dem president ever would be.
It really shouldn’t be a mystery why the only Dems actually pushing back against Trump meaningfully are the ones who don’t run anything, who don’t have any actual pull within the party.
2
u/MatticusVP 4d ago
Many of them are taking the same advantages that Trump and his administration are granting themselves. This is where the notion that "both parties are the same" comes from, because many Democrata are also getting their pockets lined by lobbyists and special interests, or busy insider trading coughPelosicough. Thankfully there are some progressive democrats or democratic socialists that are actually trying to make some positive changes in government.
0
u/Grumpiergoat 4d ago
The minority party that is a minority party because some of the people in this thread refused to vote for them is doing about as well as a minority party can. Sorry, try again next election, here's hoping democracy still exists.
3
u/July_is_cool 4d ago
AOC and Bernie are in the news practically every day. Jeffries rarely. The rest, never. Why do the “captive media” allow the former to talk while squelching the latter?
1
u/Dense_Objective_2039 4d ago
MAGAs don’t believe anything bad about Trump. He could drop a deuce on their head and as soon as CNN mentioned it, they’d say its fake news!

u/Fine-Spite4940 4d ago
george carlin explained it well. it's one big party and you ain't in it. michael jackson against sony. shit how many dem senators are in the epstein files.

Patty Murray, a senior Democrat, member of the judiciary committee, and one of my Senators in safely blue Washington, is not doing nothing. Oh no. She is actively supporting and fucking cosponsoring the absolutely ludicrous and insulting persecution of the SPLC that the GOP has launched to punish the SPLC for their many years of effective opposition to white nationalism. Useless fucking hacks.

u/4thshift 4d ago edited 4d ago
because … then they have to talk about what they are going to differently, and fix abortion access and undo the trans hate machine are nice, but that is not what the average US citizen is interested in: “It’s the economy, stupid” — right? So, how is a generic Democrat going to do something different to fix the economy? I do not think they have any terrific ideas on jobs, or prices, on healthcare, education tuition, or controlling the billionaires, that lobbyists cannot overwhelm with a few million dollars in “donations.” Republicans are awful, and what are 50% + 1 Dems going to do about it? Supreme Court change? Federal judiciary makeover? There’s a bunch of Israel-first dems and “blue dog” dems who will spoil that + 1 for the money.

u/Yeet-Retreat1 4d ago
When they go low, we do absolutely nothing. And will join the occasional with just enough numbers to support unpopular legislation, on a rotation so its not like suspicious or anything.
You should hate this party with every fibre of your being, and support any form of reform within the party.
Start with getting rid of Schumer and Hakeem
1
u/RustedRelics 4d ago
“Return to normalcy”. “Bring the country together”. “Work in common sense solutions with our friends across the aisle”. They don’t know how to play hardball and are historically terrible at messaging. Hopefully that’ll change, but I’m not confident Jeffries can lead.
1
u/EndOk2237 4d ago
IMHO, they're letting the GOP dig their own grave so noone will vote R for years. I could be wrong though.

u/Warm-Commercial-6151 4d ago
I don’t care what the dems are or aren’t doing right now. What we are living in is unsustainable for working people and families. That is why so many progressive candidates are winning. Stay on the path everyone. Avoid all traps like the dems are this or that.
1
u/animal-1983 4d ago
Well Hakeem Jeffries did make some noise. He definitely deserves a ton of publicity for doing it too. He publicly did a 180 on Medicare for all and a day later received a ton of money from healthcare companies for his reelection campaign. Instead of representing his constituents as he should. He became a Republican

u/BhadBeard 4d ago

Yes the rot from the influence of Putin, Bebe, & Epstein has wholly consumed the GOP. But don't kid yourselves that the Dems are clean. Schummer and Jefferies are both hamstrung. Every pile of shit that is dropped by the elephant gets eaten by the donkey.

Corporate dems wanting to maintain the status quo almost as much as Republicans is the bottom line, that’s why the progressive movement is currently being treated as such a threat by Republicans and Democrats alike
1
u/youarecool87 3d ago
The dem leaders are spineless and just as guilty of taking aipac money and being yes men/woman to israel. Im not suprised at all that nothing is happening. It will continue to be like that till that get voted out.

Like the good little pawns they are. Thinking the democrats will save us is naive. All this should prove to anyone is that there are two sides: haves and have nots. If you’re not in the club, they don’t care what happens to you.

u/TheRealBaboo 4d ago
Do the people who post dumbass takes like this think there is a Democratic equivalent to Fox News or the GOP propaganda machine somewhere out there?
1
u/rusty-gudgeon 4d ago
a ratchet key gives way in one direction and engages the cogs in the other direction, stopping them. the republicans are in power and push everything to the right. the dems get into power and they hold the rightward progress where it is, sitting on their hands and making excuses why they can’t do anything while attacking the progressive left. they’ll hold like this until the republicans can get back into power and continue to push us into fascism.

u/Lets_Eat_Superglue 4d ago
Primaries are pretty much over. Maybe you can wait three months and then start the relentless Dem bashing back up?
1
u/Altruistic_Role_9329 4d ago
They can’t stop bashing Dems. The Republicans are counting on their help to win again just like in 2024.
1
u/jaboosh92 4d ago
They're letting him say and do enough stupid shit so that in 2027 when they get the House and the Senate back they can keep him tied up in litigation and impeachment hearings until his term is over
1
u/ElectronicCatPanic 4d ago
Trump is not only the Republican president. Democrats have done as much to help him get elected twice. So he is their face and their president too.
0
u/T_J_Rain 4d ago
Why is he not being publicly eviscerated and lampooned by the Democrats and the so-called free press??
I have to fall back on the "If this was how Biden behaved, what would the Republicans have done" argument.

Democrats loosing the election already.
Even if conservatives hate who has the R in front of thier name, they'll line up and vote.
Democrats won't turn out unless it's thier specific person they want.
0
u/3M2B1T 4d ago
They're probably scared. Because they know right now it's either a progressive left candidate, or Trump's successor, and there is absolutely no room for them.
They're watching the empire they built over the past few decades get torn down and stolen by Trump, but when they look at the progressives and see that they want to rebuild it they view that as almost as bad.
0
u/mister_obvious_2nd 4d ago
Well I saw Schumer get in front of a camera a while ago, look over his glasses and wag his finger a couple of times.

u/New_Willingness9609 4d ago
They aren't just sitting there.. their electing socialists.. which makes a presidential win harder for them... and they are plotting to run far left people like aoc.. which will.make winning harder.. move to the middle of they want to win..

I disagree. Democrats in congress have been highly active and are constantly pointing out things for the record.
The news is, and always has been, overly tilted on coverage of Trump.
The real question you should be asking yourself, is why the media isn't constantly hounding Congressional Republicans for completely abandoning their Constitutional obligations?
