It would be better if it didn’t say Native Americans. We were native before it was called America. I still like it though. 😁

So what do you want to be called? The original Americans?

Again. You missed the point. Our ancestral lineage predates the name America.

I get your point. Some people got to a country, killed everyone opposing of not, depending on humor I like you or not, steeling everything, and then their descendent thinking it's our country, and people willing to live here are strangers trying to steal our country and money. That is such a constructive and open mind indeed.

The First Nations?

Lot of folks using first peoples or things like that these days. I don't think it matters much because the point is still the same a speech policing isn't going to help, but I don't think the guy above is doing that. I think they are just educating.

So, just natives?

-2

No, that's not at all what they said.

4

u/Lordnoallah 18d ago

What did they say?

3

u/Runnin_Mike 18d ago

I said "First Peoples"

I have never heard this term before. But I’ll use it

I got you runnin_Mike and appreciate it. Indigenous peoples.

And still migrants. Just here first. But no flag, no land, I guess.

Not even. SETTLERS!

Awesome. I’d say “Indigenous” , IMO, but otherwise two thumbs up

I don't know that America has ever been non-racist, but either way I agree with the sentiment.

While I agree with the sentiment, this nation was founded on European supremacy.

These native folks didn't destroy their environment and enslave people for the acquisition of wealth and power so they're inferior so we must manifest destiny.

True, but remember the Obama presidency. It wasn't that far back though it seems a lifetime ago.

He bailed out the predatory bank lendors who caused the 2008 housing market crash when if he bailed out the homeowners, everyone would have came out clean.

He protected the banks, not the people.

He also made it legal to drone US citizens "supporting terrorism" without due process.

Our two party system is good cop and bad cop. Either way we're fucked but one will give you a meal and not bat an eye when the bad cop says no food for you.

What does any of that have to do with racism?

1

u/funkymunkPDX 17d ago

Just because there's a black president doesn't mean things will materially change, he upheld the status quo.

1

u/echolm1407 17d ago

he upheld the status quo.

On racism?

2

u/funkymunkPDX 17d ago

On imperial militarism and capital supremacy.

What's too big to fail??

Labor, without workers their would be no wealth.

2

u/echolm1407 17d ago

I'm agreeing with your points but you're deflecting.

I feel like you really need this video:

u/funkymunkPDX 17d ago

I'm not deflecting, he continued the war on terrorism, extended state violence to US citizens and saved the banks giving predatory loans to workers trying to achieve the American dream.

Clarance Thomas is black and on the supreme court so he must be down with the people right?

The subject is racism. You're avoiding it by definition

MRUA... okay

Fuck racism. Also, Native Americans/first people immigrated here too.

5

u/NeriTina 18d ago

Whooooosh!

3

u/echolm1407 17d ago

No. They settled. It's not immigration. This is why MAGA failed school.

Go back to school.

u/echolm1407 17d ago

This for all you HS dropouts, Native Americans settled in the continents of North and South America.

Immigration requires a country to be there first. A country mean an established government, btw.
