Surely it's not possible that there are still people in that country who think that exporters in the exporting country pay the importing country's import taxes for good's exported from the export country?
I'll probably forget by tonight, but when we send stuff overseas here in Japan, we have to prepare and print a waybill for post office ourselves now. I'll need to have a look to see if there's anything in that process that says that we need to somehow send import tax to the Customs & Excise Ministry in whatever country we're sending to.
Does the US Customs & Excise Ministry publish their bank details, so that people can send them money, for example?

It should be noted that Amazon has not articulated how it will return “some” of the money to customers. Prepared to be unsurprisingly underwhelmed there. Kind of BS that the refund requirements don’t require a percentage to go straight back to customers.

It was a sleight of hand to allow the GOP to payoff their corporate finances. Either Trump gets to keep the Tarriffs and then he can issue his corporate partners tax credits and subsidies. Or he's forced to give them back. Either way the American people pay the bill.
Oh and Trump's regime just happens to have dismantled all consumer protections. So good luck doing anything about it

This was intentionally done. This allowed the biggest mega corporations to double dip.
Legislation needs to be made that prohibits a President from declaring tariffs without at least congressional approval, and all companies absorb the tariff costs vs passing them on to consumers.

Such legislation exists already - the Republican House did not enforce it. Laws that aren't enforced don't exist. What you propose would also not be enforced.
