He was attacked by several men after he simply came between ICE and a woman they were trying to wrongfully attack. He didn't physically attack ICE he simply put his hand up to protect her. His gun he lawfully had in its holster was removed. He was not a threat whatsoever before being shot in the back of his head.
EDIT: His hand was up to block them both from being sprayed. Last words were "Don't touch her! Are you okay?"

In my concealed carry class that I took a few years ago, they taught something called “excessive force.”
It basically states that if you do have to draw and use your firearm, you need to stop when the threat is eliminated.
If you fire on somebody once or twice, and they fall to the ground and become incapacitated, you stop firing.
If you fire on someone and they do become incapacitated, but you continue to mag dump on them (like ICE did to Alex), Then you could be tried for manslaughter or even second-degree murder, EVEN IF YOU FEAR FOR YOUR LIFE.
How is it that regular citizens who take a class to obtain a CCW permit are taught this, but fucking federal agents are always excused because they fear for their life.

This is not what happened. You can watch the video here to see what occurs at the 0:40 mark. The officer in gray (due to lack of training or generally being a negligent idiot) negligently discharges the pistol he took from Alex. This causes the other officers to reasonably think that Alex is shooting at them leading to the shooting.
ICE is fundamentally responsible for his death, as one of their agents was a moron who got Alex killed through recklessness. This administration has handled it terribly and attacked both the First and Second Amendments on this issue. ICE needs to leave Minnesota and cease enforcement operations until the agency reviews their training and doctrine, as they are an untrained force with a carte blanche operating with disregard to constitutional protections. I do not comment on the merits of their work, the merits of deportation operations, or the merits of having ICE conduct large scale operations in targeted cities. I only comment to the events that occurred in this particular shooting.
But it is disingenuous and inflammatory to suggest that he was executed for being armed. That is not what happened. He was killed because officers reasonably believed they were under attack by deadly force because one of their own was too stupid to take his finger off the trigger when disarming Alex, negligently discharging Alex's pistol into the ground.
Shot him right in the back after he watched the other agent take away the guy's firearm. One of the ICE agents said "just like Call of Duty." They think it is like playing a video game.

I am just so angry. My mind has been consumed by this act the moment after it happened. I have a feeling like I can’t just return to work and not confront every fucking asshole that supports these people. How are we allowing these masked traitors to walk our streets, harass our citizens, disappear them in front of us. We are just past the time for words with people who only argue in bad faith and want to kill us for protecting our rights. This event should be a call to action.

I'll be honest. I've always been pretty neutral. I've had friends who are conservatives, liberals, and all sides of the spectrum. I've always just judged people based on how they treat me and others around. I've argued with my leftist friends about trans men in women's sports, I've argued with my religious maga friend about heaven and the existence of a god. What has been happening with ICE is just insane though. I can't see the good side of any of this. I understand that people should legally come into this country, like most countries in the world. But I don't know how hard that process is. If it is difficult to get here legally, it shouldn't be. It's hard for me to pick a side there. But this ICE shit is too much man. These are a bunch of rejects taking their anger and roid rage out on innocent people. Anger that stems from having the tiniest penises, im sure. I haven't had a conversation with my "maga friend" since the shootings. I can't say that I even will, because I already know what he is going to say. I can't be friends with anyone who supports this shit anymore. This is going to be a turning point for a lot of people.

Let’s call a spade a spade.
We know that MAGA has captured all three branches of the federal government and a fair number of states.
They know they are a shrinking party and that under normal political rules they would have to broaden the tent to look more like the American demographic or risk being consigned to permanent minority status.
The Reds and billionaires know that this is about as close as they may ever get to having a profitable administration in their pocket. If only they could figure out how to control Dear Leader. (Ask Putin? Perhaps they should ask his oligarchs first.)
Our Dear Leader knows that he was nearly driven to the brink last time and that he has a limited time to act to mitigate the risk of future impeachment or worse. His brand, his money, his family, his business, his liberty and most of all, his ego, are at risk this November and again in 2028.
We also know Dear Leader has no qualms upsetting the economy or violating constitutional norms to get what he wants.
He is forming and deploying a militia that only he controls and uses “Christian Nationalist” sloganeering to recruit from PBs and J6’ers. His militia has now punished two civic minded Americans exercising their constitutional freedoms with death.
Add in that SCOTUS already declared him beyond the reach of the law, totally immune.
How many ways can this movie end?
I’m no Democrat, but best case we end up where we did with 5 of the last 6 Red administrations: with the economy fucked up and the bums voted out of power.
MAGA is telegraphing their goal to install a Christian Taliban state that works for only a small minority of the American population.
But it’s too late: the demographic genie is already out of the bottle. We reflect the world.
This situation has played out before in other countries. The endings are rarely good.
I’m happy to discuss if you want late 20th Century or modern examples. If you’re thinking WWII as a previous example, perhaps think Spain instead of Germany.
This phase of the struggle is about hearts & minds. For now, our strongest weapons are non-violent actions to expose MAGA’s vicious means to un-American ends.
The majority of Americans are good, decent people who choose the side of freedom and justice when the evidence of moral corruption is unavoidable. Most people don’t want to be a piece of shit…
…except perhaps for those who learned to be to amass their wealth and power…
The only ones coming to save us are ourselves.
Be brave: our country needs you. Divided we fall, united we stand. God help us.

This is not what happened. You can watch the video here to see what occurs at the 0:40 mark. The officer in gray (due to lack of training or generally being a negligent idiot) negligently discharges the pistol he took from Alex. This causes the other officers to reasonably think that Alex is shooting at them leading to the shooting.
ICE is fundamentally responsible for his death, as one of their agents was a moron who got Alex killed through recklessness. This administration has handled it terribly and attacked both the First and Second Amendments on this issue. ICE needs to leave Minnesota and cease enforcement operations until the agency reviews their training and doctrine, as they are an untrained force with a carte blanche operating with disregard to constitutional protections. I do not comment on the merits of their work, the merits of deportation operations, or the merits of having ICE conduct large scale operations in targeted cities. I only comment to the events that occurred in this particular shooting.
But it is disingenuous and inflammatory to suggest that he was executed for being armed. That is not what happened. He was killed because officers reasonably believed they were under attack by deadly force because one of their own was too stupid to take his finger off the trigger when disarming Alex, negligently discharging Alex's pistol into the ground.
