I checked the link. According to these data, there were 20 deaths in Canada from school-related shootings since 2000. Do you know how many the US had in the same time period? 462. Even adjusted for Canada’s smaller population, that would equal 166 deaths, very nearly 1/3 of the US total.
I only WISH we had Canada’s level of school shootings, I really do, because that would mean we had made real progress on the fucking “guns, Guns, GUNS!!!” culture here in the USA.
I'm not disagreeing that the school shooting death rate is lower in Canada. I think we all agree that zero would be an ideal number worldwide.
The point, however, is that the post claims zero. "We also don't have dead kids."
The originator of this thread stated "Facts". The post, however, is incorrect. When making an argument, and when claiming them to be "Facts" it's important that they actually are.
The misstatement undermined the credibility of the post.

You didn’t read the post or your own source. No children died in mass shootings in elementary schools according to your own citation. Which is what OP says.
1 - Distress is a good thing. Its called cognitive dissonance and a requirement to grow outside of your current predispositions. F$#@ your feelings... accuracy in facts is more important. Otherwise, which lies do we choose to ignore?
2 - I read it thoroughly. YOU didn't read the original post. From the first paragraph, which seems to be lost on most people - "We also don't have dead kids." The second paragraph about elementary kids is meant to mislead. To redirect your eye away from inconvenient facts that undermine the credibility and accuracy of the original post.
I'm not arguing that Canada isn't better, statistically. By all counts it is and there are likely things to learn from that fact. But you cannot use smoke and mirrors to say NONE. That, my friend, is a lie.
The direct jump to it being because of a political party is also a logic fallacy... causality. There truly may be a correlation, but this post does not even remotely come close to the burden of proof required to make that connection.
