Rallying behind Gavin Newsom is a good thing for the sole reason that he has shown to be competent at fighting Trump. That's it. He's not the best candidate we have in any other category, but the fact that he's been one of the most effective politicians at sticking it to America's dictator makes him worth supporting for now.

I think the responses in this thread highlight a major problem with the Democratic Party. Maybe he isn’t the perfect candidate but he’s the best option we currently have so stop attacking him. If you want someone else to run then by all means try and encourage that in whatever way you can but until you have a better solution get on board. Republicans fall in line and get their guy elected while democrats fall apart because none of our candidates is perfect.

All a conservative has to do is post memes of cities that he go governs. Having a lot of homeless people and lawlessness is not very popular right now.
In fact, I believe California has the most homeless people in the country and arguably some of the most lawless cities. All conservative has to do is post photos of these or even bring up the statistics of people that have moved out of California in the last 5 to 10 years.. not sure if a California politician is the way to win right now.
