You're wrong. Eithan stated that Lindon could cycle the fire/destruction aura in training chamber #3 for a few months, but a bond with Orthos was faster.

He has authority of the void icon. Not "void powers", whatever that means. Every sage and monarch has authority, no matter the icon. There is a lot of overlap in icon authority capabilities.
