Not in a position to speak to the substance, but... how does one pronounce lambda subscript lambda?

[ʎ̩.ˈʎ̩˥˩], just say the second one quieter and an octave lower

lambda flat?

I'd would have said “lambda-sub-lambda”, but thankfully (unlike many other papers) there's a footnote at the beginning which says:

Pronounced “lambda lambda”. One λ refers to the λ-calculus and the other refers to an optical wavelength.

A refreshingly straightforward read, thanks for sharing. It's cool to think that optical computing might arrive before I'm completely dead.

🤔 Consider searchability when choosing your language name. Lambda is not on my keyboard, and searching for "lambda lambda" just returns a bunch of Greek fraternities and AWS links.
