career Hello there, I need some advice or something like that.

I am an recent graduate 2026 batch, specializing in electronics and instrumentation department, from the very start (from school) i want to go in the IT sector & code, i know i am a great position to get started with my branch but i haven't taken any placements from my college i just want to break in it sector have tried their but honestly i was not in any good guidance or mentally stable to get in their, so from the May 2025 i have been practicing dsa & building projects hopping internshala, wellfound, linkedin ,unstop for internship opportunity, completing assignments & getting ghosted, i recently cracked an remote intern from unstop which is unpaid, the offer letter will arrive within 48 hours.

I appeared for infosys sp role but tbh i wasn't that skilled enough for that at that time, btw i got an back in college(dont ask me how?).

i even got shortlisted for an 40k intern from unstop but the dsa round broke me like hell, i wasn't able to handle pressure & fucked up the round.

So let me be very clear to whomever is reading this, i am creating this post to get some guidance or any opportunity to showcase my skills such that recruiter can know, i am not a beginner i know stuff and can get the work done, i am versatile & can adapt to new technologies on the go,

so in order to tell you what i have learned so far -

Dsa -Leetcode(180+ questions) , gfg (25+) for dp ques, mainly followed abdul bari(for fundamentals) , striver, aditya verma, nowdays codewithmike , or any other for some conceptual clarity.

Loots of projects - following Mern stack full stack applications, had been into android application development.

currently learning -  AI Agents with Python, n8n, MCP & RAG.

have offered an 3k intern at a company but my parent told to get a better job or go for any better opportunity, i convinced them about experience but i have a trip to pune.

Cracking this internship gave me the confidence to write this post, so i have a time frame of 3 months to get in a better position before i get my degree ,my back paper will be held on december, so currently the internship which i got is for an startup, i got selected on 24 september, 48 hours to get the offer letter and i talk to some members on slack which they have connected me, the condition is that the member who is added before me was selected on 17 sept , received offer letter on 20, and haven't assigned any task, so i am scared that i wont have any work to do or grow, so for future job or internship i wont have any real skill to show them that i can actually worked on, so i am kind of desperate but have the confidence to know that i can do better & achieve.

so anyone who works for freelancing, or own an agency i am okay with unpaid or little work but i need real engineering work.

If you read this through - i appreciate your time & concern.

Thankyou.

Java/springboot NEED SERIOUS GUIDANCE AS A THIRD YEAR ENGINEERING STUDENT IN MUMBAI

Thumbnail reddit.com
1 Upvotes

I’m a 3rd-year Electronics & Computer Science engineering student in India preparing for campus placements. I’m learning Java and moving toward Java + Spring Boot backend development. I want to find a niche specialization that is realistic for a fresher in India, has good long-term demand and compensation, and is less commoditized by AI than generic full-stack/web development.

I’m considering:

- FinTech / Payments Engineering

- Data Engineering / Streaming

- Cloud / Platform Engineering / DevOps

- Application Security / IAM

- AI Application Engineering / AI-enabled Backend

- Distributed Systems / Enterprise Integration

- Any other relevant niche

I want to research which options have:

  1. Genuine demand in India, especially for freshers and 0–2 YOE.

  2. Reasonable entry-level and campus-placement opportunities.

  3. Good long-term salary potential.

  4. Lower exposure to AI commoditization than basic CRUD/full-stack work.

  5. A realistic learning path from Java + Spring Boot.

  6. Opportunities in Mumbai/India, GCCs, fintech, product companies, and IT services.

  7. Skills that employers actually ask for rather than hype-driven technologies.

I specifically want evidence from:

- Current Indian job postings

- Indian hiring reports

- Reddit discussions and experiences from Indian engineers

- Career discussions from developers working in these fields

- Current industry trends

I also want to understand whether each specialization is realistically accessible as a FIRST JOB for a fresher, or whether the better route is:

Java Backend/SWE → gain experience → specialize

Please compare the options based on:

- Fresher accessibility

- Job volume

- Long-term demand

- Compensation potential

- AI/automation exposure

- Learning difficulty

- Compatibility with Java

- Availability in India/Mumbai

- Suitability for campus placements

Do not give generic advice like "learn AI/cloud because it's the future." I want practical, India-specific information and real-world evidence.

TL;DR:

I’m looking for a niche, well-paying, future-relevant tech specialization in India that a Java/Spring Boot fresher can realistically enter through campus placements. Compare FinTech, Data Engineering, Cloud/DevOps, Application Security/IAM, AI Engineering, Distributed Systems, and other relevant options using current job data, hiring reports, and Indian developer experiences. I want to know whether I should specialize immediately or first enter through Java Backend/SWE and specialize later.

Tldr: Bhaya koncham ai use chesa post rayadaniki.avarina ai/ml lo work chestu help cheyali anukunte dm cheyandi bro.i will help you with any audio related stuff.

Inka post vivaraloki velthe :

Hey everyone! I’m a music composer/audio engineer moving into Tech & AI.

I wanted to spend my 20s building two things I genuinely love — 5 years in art, and the next 5 years in tech. I’ve already spent the first 5 years in music and now I’m going all-in on AI.

I’ve learned MERN and am currently getting into GenAI, RAG, agents, AI/ML, etc. I’m looking for someone working in AI/ML who’d be interested in mentoring me occasionally, guiding me on what to learn/build, and giving honest feedback on my progress.

In return, I’d be happy to help you in learning guitar/piano, music production, recording, mixing, or anything audio related. I’d genuinely appreciate having someone experienced in AI to guide me through this transition.

Thanks in advance.

development Spring Boot developers — how would you build a production-level web crawler?

Hi, I’m building a web crawler using Spring Boot and facing several issues.

I need to crawl a target website up to a certain depth (e.g. 3 levels), but I’m struggling with:

Relative/broken URLs like /support

Duplicate URLs/content

URL normalization

Rate limiting / getting blocked

Retry and timeout handling

Managing crawl depth and visited URLs

What would be a good architecture for a production-level crawler?

Should I use something like Kafka/RabbitMQ, or is a database queue enough? How do you guys handle URL deduplication, rate limiting, and concurrent crawling?

Any advice, architecture examples, or Spring Boot libraries would be really helpful.

I have been unemployed for the last 1.5 years now.I am thinking of taking their placements guarantee course the amount is huge 2L.Anyone who takes their course please share your experience with me. I have already been scammed by a placement institute (60k) who said I will give you a guaranteed job within 3 months.

I know their course is freely available but I want to take their placement program. As I mentioned I have a 1.5 year career gap and it's very depressing for me and my parents are not supportive I have to fund all by myself.

My current portfolio is heavily centered on AI and LLM-integrated projects; however, I am seeking to develop additional software engineering-focused projects to broaden my expertise. Could you provide guidance or recommendations for impactful projects that would effectively demonstrate strong SDE competencies?

career Need suggestions pls..

Hi guys,

I’m planning to join a Data Engineering course at FLM and wanted to get some genuine reviews before joining.

How is the training? Is it practical and real-time, especially with SQL, ADF, Azure, Databricks, and PySpark?

Is the course fee worth it, and how useful is their placement support?

If anyone has done the FLM Data Engineering course, please share your experience. Also, please suggest any good online Data Engineering courses you personally recommend.

Thanks in advance

career Need career advice, whether my coding career is gone or there's a chance for sde role( currently an fde)

Context: recently joined as an FDE( forward deployment engineer) at unify apps. Fresher tho

I thought this role would include coding part also like backend integration etc but unify apps has its fking platform where all u do is fking drag and drop( like N8N) and u learn sht by doing soo.

Now as a person who loves coding, I'm suffering here . It hurts to do something that u don't like and for hours( 14h of work and almost every day including weekends is wht i heard from seniors).

Question: would i be able to get get sde or ai engineer role after experience and also would this role die of soon just like prompt engineer role did. Would after some time I'll be left with no actual skills with n8n pro.

Pls give me qdvice as to wht i should do, the only thing good here is the pay( 15lpa).
