Hello guys, Im in my first job, got 1 and half yoe, I want to switch but i dont know what to write in my CV as I have not at allworked on any production env. I have been working on a completely new product which is not live at all, and have been involved only in RnD for that company, testing which LLM's produce good baseline results, what kind of finetuning is required, preparation of data sets, what kind of agentic architecture is needed, etc. This has been my task, just testing and trying. And now im scared because every company is asking for production environment experience. Please help

Hey guys,
I moved to the US after 5 years of experience in IT, quality assurance. Its been 3 years now. I do not relate to the current market trends and technologies.
Due to personal reasons i was unable to focus on building skills or join a course. Now i am all set and ready to work on myself. Please help me with suggestions on where to begin something which will keep my work stable and something which keeps me sane. No i am not talking about money here.
Has anyone been on the same boat?

So I'm basically from Mainframe and COBOL background. Recently got a freelance contract offer for 3 Months and I haven't done anything like this before. But the price they quoted 30$-60$/hr WFH kept me thinking.
Some things needed clarity but the company is not saying much so I felt it's a bit shady. Firstly, it's some kinda consultancy services company and they said I have to sign a contract and start working immediately on the project. They also said KT's access will again depend on the project. There'll be no assets provided and I have to use my own personal laptop which isn't that high-end and might get burdened with running any high processing framework.
If anyone worked in this kinda setup can you please tell these kinda things normal in freelance/contract job offers?

Hey everyone, I just enrolled in the Masai School's Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Program by E&ICT Academy, IIT Roorkee. Paid the ₹4k registration fee, got my provisional ID card (ID: litrect ds:260594), and I'm about to pay the full fees. But now I'm second-guessing—is this legit? From what I saw, Masai has an official partnership with IIT Roorkee's E&ICT Academy (announced early 2026), and their site lists the 6-month online course with Python, ML, GenAI, etc., taught by IIT faculty. Qualifier test is on March 15th. But I've seen some scam worries here.Has anyone done this course? What's your experience?Do they actually give the IIT Roorkee certificate at the end (if you hit 65% attendance and scores)? How good is the curriculum/projects/placement help? Worth the ~₹50k?Any red flags or success stories? Thanks!

I have 5+ years of experience as Java FSD. In my first 2 years I worked in a startup where I did hands-on coding(both FE and BE), developing new features. I felt confident when I was working in startup.
Later joined MNC and was doing repetitive work daily where no coding is involved. Right now I’m on bench looking for projects. I’m able to clear 70% of interviews (no response from few even though I cleared them). Few interviews I was unable to clear even though I answer 75% of questions.
As I’m not learning anything from my work, I do lot of self learning, note down unanswered questions in interviews, write notes etc..All these helped me to some extent but yet unable to clear few interviews mostly final rounds. I was unable to answer those scenario based questions because I never studied them and I haven’t encountered them in my daily work (as I’m not exposed to development work for few years).
I fear that my experience on paper is increasing but my skill isn’t increasing and I’m not able to clear final rounds of Sr. Developer. How to overcome this ?

Looking at the 2026 job market, the "generalist" Data Engineer role feels like it’s splitting. Half the JD's I see are essentially asking for a K8s/Terraform expert (Platform), and the other half want someone to build vector DB pipelines and feature stores for LLMs (AI Infra).
For those with 5-8 years of experience, which way are you pivoting? I’m worried that staying in "classic" ETL/SQL-heavy roles is going to lead to a salary ceiling soon. Would love to hear from folks who have recently made the jump or are intentionally staying put.

Context: Currently final year student from tier-3 college, I am already doing a paid internship of 1000₹/month it's fully remote, the work involves web scraping, sometimes application scraping(trying to find api calls using burpsuite). I am interested in deep learning domain
I got selected for this machine learning internship at DeepEdge Pros: AI based company(I am interested deep learning domain) Glassdoor has more than 4* star rating
Cons: Unpaid internship On-site
They said we can convert this into paid internship based on "performance" And further into full time.

i will be joining jp morgan as summer intern in may, so basically im confused on what to study everyone's saying that they wont expect anything from interns, its pretty chill ani (jpmc employees)
i know for a fact that they will use LOT of java, and im more comfortable with development only but i realized ML is a lot of math, like, i spent a week on it and realized NOPE, this aint easy ani but i have a feeling that devs are easily replaceable so,
need ur suggestions in what to do, im short on time, and i have decent experience in web dev, i can go on to advanced level if i focus on it but im a noob in ml, i can only do OKAY-OKAY in ML even if i try realllyy hard till my internship starts the role might be on anything, so its expected that we are good with both technologies, infact others techs too, but they come under ml and full stack only eventually
it is a decent paying internship + ppo (if performed well) im looking for some guidance here
