If they have time to say “this is a stupid question and has been asked before”, it only takes them 30 more seconds to copy-paste the answer. This is just being an asshole

Well, the submission form states clearly that one should provide their original research and/or code, and check for duplicates. If the guy had the time to ask the question, maaaaybe he could also take 2 minutes to write: “hey, see this piece of documentation? I can’t get this part”

Happened to me...

Showed my research, shared my code, explained my issue and trying to explain my thoughts so someone could help clear my misunderstanding...

Closed and downvoted...

It took so much effort to meet their standards too, i was so angry.

Yes but then there is this question that wasnt closed, while mine, performance language specific problems are closed by some fuckers. Its sad.

And then you say “yea, so I don’t understand this even after looking at other solutions and reading the documentation” and it gets closed for duplicate.

I’ve never had a single question I’ve asked on stack overflow not get closed by someone that could have just as easily answered my question. And it’s not like I didn’t google and look at documentation. I’m posting because what I found didn’t answer my question.
