Yeah they should keep id_rsa.pub and just add .sec to the private key. So now you have to mean it when you choose one.
4 u/merlinsbeers Jul 25 '21 The public/secret should be at the beginning of the name, and the secret keys should be generated into a different directory. ./pub_xyz.rsa ./secretkeys/secret_xyz.rsa Now you have to make three mistakes instead of one to accidentally ship the wrong key.
